Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC) are chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) currently affecting over 5 million patients globally, mostly young adults. These conditions are often debilitating, disabling and may markedly affect patient's quality of life. Despite important advances in research, the pathogenesis of IBD remains obscure, the incidence-rising, the condition - incurable, and drugs have a modest effect. The common denominator may be environmental factors, specifically diet and the microbiome, which remain a fundamental unmet need in IBD care as high quality randomized trials and mechanistic research are limited. Up to a quarter of patients with UC may undergo complete large bowel resection due to disease complications. In order to preserve bowel continuity, this surgery includes a restorative part with creation of a reservoir ("pouch") from normal small bowel instead of the resected rectum. The majority of these patients develop small intestinal inflammation in the previously normal small bowel creating the pouch ("pouchitis"). Based on our results from previous studies, we hypothesized that personalized antibiotics and dietary interventions will modify microbial composition and result in significantly improved outcomes, specifically resolution of inflammation and prolonged remission rates in patients with a pouch. Aims: 1. Compare the effect of two antibiotic treatments on clinical, inflammatory and microbiological outcomes of patients with pouch inflammation. 2. Evaluate the effect of combined microbiome-targeted antibiotic and dietary intervention as treatment and prevention strategy in patients after pouch surgery. 3. Evaluate the effect of a microbiome-targeted dietary intervention as prevention strategy in patients after pouch surgery. 4. Identify predictors for response to specific antibiotic and dietary interventions.
This study will test how well a new medicine called concizumab works in the body of people with haemophilia A or B without inhibitors. The purpose is to show that concizumab can prevent bleeds in the body and is safe to use. Participants who usually only take medicine to treat bleeds (on-demand) will be placed in one of two groups. In one group participants will get study medicine from the start of the study. In the other group participants will continue with their normal medicine and get study medicine after 6 months. Which treatment the participant gets is decided by chance. Participants who usually take medicine to prevent bleeds (prophylaxis treatment) or who are already being treated with concizumab (study medicine) will receive the study medicine from the start of the study. Participants will have to inject themselves with the study medicine 1 time every day under the skin. This can be done at home. The study doctor will hand out the medicine in the form of a pen-injector. The pen-injector will contain the study medicine. The study will last for up to 6.5 years. The length of time the participant will be in the study depends on when they agreed to take part or when the medicine is available for purchase in their country (21 April 2026 at the latest). Participants will have to come to the clinic for up to 40 times. The time between visits will be approximately 4 weeks for the first 6 to 12 months depending on the group participants are in, and approximately 8 weeks for the rest of the study. If the participant attends extra visits due to the prescription medicine not being available for purchase in their country, these will be 14 weeks apart. Participants will be asked to record information in an electronic diary during the study and may also be asked to wear an activity tracker.

This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2a Study Examining the Safety and Efficacy of BOL-DP-o-04 for Treating Diabetic Neuropathy
The purpose of this clinical study is to compare the measurement of vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, blood oxygen levels and body temperature) measured by the non-invasive, continuous and wireless BiPS monitoring device with vital signs measured by current standard of care hospital equipment (blood pressure measurements will be obtained from arterial line) an invasive arterial line. The study will be conducted in two medical centers in Israel and include 50 adult patients that are connected to an arterial line as part of their routine care.
Patients suffering from acute renal colic are evaluated by non contrast computerized tomography with excellent identification rates of urinary stones. The scan also covers the bones of the ribs, spine and pelvis, allowing measurements of the bone density and identifying early osteopenic changes. Bone demineralization is associated with metabolic changes such as hypercalcemia or hypercalcuria. In this study the investigators will look for correlation between kidney stones, osteopenic bone changes and metabolic abnormalities.
The readmission of Heart Failure (HF) patients for exacerbation HF within 30-day is unmet goal. The mail reason for readmission is excessive accumulation of fluid in patient's lung. According our data (1,2) around 40% of HF patient have excessive lung fluid at discharge from HF hospitalization ("unacceptable" residual congestion on discharge). In other words, around 40% patients are discharged from HF hospitalization prematurely when they are not ready to be discharged. Only 60% of HF patients are discharged from HF admission with "acceptable" level of residual pulmonary congestion (2). There are some techniques to assess "readiness" of HF patients for discharge. Pulmonary congestion (lung fluid accumulation) may be assessed non-invasively by measurement Brain Natriuretic Peptide (BNP), (3,4), by lung ultrasound (LUS), (5-7) and by Lung Impedance (LI) method (1,2). LUS is operator depended technique. LI and BNP techniques are most reliable methods (2) and easy to use.
The Breast Cancer Personalized Nutrition (BREACPNT) study will evaluate the effect of a microbiome based personalized diet intervention on control of weight gain, glycemic response, disease outcome and various biomarkers in hormone receptor early breast cancer patients receiving adjuvant endocrine treatment.
The study will include up to 250 AMD patients and up to 30 DR patients. In Tel Aviv medical center up to 100 AMD/ 20 DR patients will be recruited; In Assuta HaShalom up to 100 AMD/10 DR patients will be recruited; In Bnei Zion medical center up to 50 AMD patients will be recruited. 4.1 Study population 1. AMD patients - intermediate and advanced AMD (with active or non-active CNV) 2. DR patients - with and without edema 4.2 Inclusion criteria 1. Ability and agreement to give informed consent (IC) 2. Diagnosis of AMD or DR in SE by OCT 3. Ability to undergo OCT scans 4. VA of 20/400 (6/120) or better in study eye(s) 4.3 Exclusion criteria 1. Patient with dilated eye(s)
The aims of the study are to monitor the long-term safety of durvalumab, to provide continued treatment or retreatment with durvalumab to eligible patients, and to collect overall survival (OS) information.
