Phase III Study of SAR302503 in Intermediate-2 and High Risk Patients With Myelofibrosis

JAKARTA
Start date: December 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Primary Objective: - To evaluate the efficacy of daily oral doses of 400 mg or 500 mg of SAR302503 (Investigational Medicinal Product, IMP) compared to placebo in the reduction of spleen volume as determined by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) (or computed tomography scan in patients with contraindications for MRI). Secondary Objectives: - To evaluate the effect on Myelofibrosis (MF)-associated symptoms (key MF symptoms) as measured by the modified Myelofibrosis Symptom Assessment Form (MFSAF) diary. - To evaluate the Overall Survival of patients treated with either 400 mg/day or 500 mg/day of IMP as compared to placebo. - To evaluate the Progression Free Survival of patients treated with either 400 mg/day or 500 mg/day of IMP as compared to placebo. - To evaluate the durability of splenic response. - To evaluate the safety of IMP.

NCT ID: NCT01434225 Completed - Neonatal Seizures Clinical Trials

NEMO1:NEonatal Seizure Using Medication Off-patent

NEMO1
Start date: August 2011
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

NEMO is a multicentre pan European clinical trial with the aim to develop new treatment strategies for the treatment of neonatal seizures using the loop diuretic bumetanide. There is evidence that bumetanide improves GABAergic function of the current standard drug, phenobarbitone. Bumetanide has been used as a diuretic in term and preterm babies for around thirty years. This trial should confirm that Bumetanide in addition to standard treatment will result in better seizures control.

NCT ID: NCT01433445 Completed - Clinical trials for Post Essential Thrombocythemia Myelofibrosis

Panobinostat and Ruxolitinib in Primary Myelofibrosis, Post-polycythemia Vera-myelofibrosis or Post-essential Thrombocythemia-myelofibrosis

Start date: November 1, 2011
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study will assess safety as well as establish a Recommended Phase II dose of the combination of panobinostat and ruxolitinib in patients with or without the JAK2V617F mutation who have been diagnosed with primary myelofibrosis (PMF), Post Essential Thrombocythemia Myelofibrosis (PET MF), or Post-Polycythemia Vera Myelofibrosis (PPV MF).

NCT ID: NCT01431287 Completed - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive

Tiotropium +Olodaterol Fixed Dose Combination (FDC) Versus Tiotropium and Olodaterol in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

Start date: September 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The overall objective of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of 52 weeks once daily treatment with orally inhaled tiotropium + olodaterol FDC (delivered by the RESPIMAT Inhaler) compared with the individual components (tiotropium, olodaterol) (delivered by the RESPIMAT Inhaler) in patients with COPD.

NCT ID: NCT01428492 Completed - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Ph 1b Study to Evaluate GSK2110183 in Combination With Bortezomib and Dexamethasone in Subjects With Multiple Myeloma

PKB115125
Start date: December 2011
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Phase Ib, open-label study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics (PD) and clinical activity of GSK2110183 dosed in combination with bortezomib and dexamethasone in multiple myeloma (MM) subjects who have failed at least one line of systemic treatment. Part 1 will identify the maximum tolerated dose(s) (MTD) of the combination regimen. Schedule A - GSK2110183 administered once daily with bortezomib (1.3 mg/m2) and dexamethasone (20 mg) given biweekly. Part 2 will further explore the safety, tolerability and clinical activity of the MTD(s) identified in Part 1, including a pharmacokinetic cohort.

NCT ID: NCT01428063 Completed - Hepatitis C Virus Clinical Trials

Study With PegInterferon Alfa-2a, Ribavirin and BMS-790052 With or Without BMS-650032 for Participants in Some Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Trials

Start date: September 2011
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to provide anti-HCV drugs to +/- 200 subjects treated in prior BMS studies with placebo + Peginterferon Alfa-2a and Ribavirin and determine if the addition of these drugs can result in higher cure rates in patients who previously failed therapy. Approximately 100 genotype 1b subjects rolling over from BMS study AI447-028 who received placebo will be treated with active drugs in this study.

NCT ID: NCT01425723 Completed - Severe Hemophilia B Clinical Trials

Long-Term Safety and Efficacy of rFIXFc in the Prevention and Treatment of Bleeding Episodes in Previously Treated Participants With Hemophilia B

B-YOND
Start date: December 8, 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the long-term safety of rFIXFc in participants with hemophilia B. The secondary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of rFIXFc in the prevention and treatment of bleeding episodes.
