Feasibility of Switching Fluoropyrimidine Due to Cardiotoxicity Study

The purpose of the present study is to evaluate cardiotoxicity during re-challenge of a different modality of fluoropyrimidine (primary end-point S-1 and secondary any other fluoropyrimidine) after having perceived cardiotoxicity with a fluoropyrimidine based regimen previously. The patient population is being treated for solid tumors.

This study compares three different methods of outpatient follow up after surgical admission to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown. The three arms of the study are text message, telephone call or in-person outpatient follow up. Data will be collected to identify complications identified in each arm along with the rate of non-response to the follow up methods and the level of satisfaction with the method. Willingness to use a telemedicine app in the future will also be evaluated through satisfaction survey.

The aim of this study is to measure the impact of musculoskeletal (MSK) complaints on the quality of life and general health of MSK Patients attending MSK triage clinics. The investigators will also record the proposed management options for patients' complaints. This will be achieved by asking patients to complete questionnaires (MSK HQ) at musculoskeletal triage clinic appointment, by undertaking a clinical assessment, by recording the proposed management plan and assessing if patients have follow up appointments for the same complaint in the following year. The investigators will also measure patient satisfaction using VSQ 9 Questionnaire. After a year the investigators will repeat the MSK HQ to assess the longterm impact of MSK Triage appointment on the MSK complaint.

This project will advance current knowledge using systematic and empirical methodology to develop and evaluate the benefits of a group-based ACT intervention, which to date has not been explored with this population.
