There are about 5241 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Hungary. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study will be conducted to assess the efficacy, pharmacodynamic (PD), safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of RGB -14- P compared to US-licensed Prolia® in participants with postmenopausal osteoporosis, in a comparative manner.
To investigate the pharmacokinetics (PK) of rifabutin in subjects with renal impairment after single intravenous (IV) infusion of BV100
The fungus Pneumocystis jirovecii is responsible for pneumocystosis (PcP), a life threatening pneumonia in patients undergoing HSCT. The spontaneous attack rate of 16% within the first 6 months following allogeneic HSCT reported in the 1980's has considerably decreased with prophylaxis. However, PcP still remains a concern in the transplant ward with an incidence rate up to 2.5% in allo- and 1.4% in autologous HSCT but up to 7.2% on low dose of Dapsone. The mortality of PcP is especially high in HSCT recipients. One of the main factors of PcP after HSCT seems to be either the lack of TMP-SMX prophylaxis (all the other prophylactic drugs being inferior to TMP-SMX), or poor compliance to prophylaxis. Due to the rarity of the disease after HSCT, it is impossible to study it in monocenter studies, except on very long periods of time which may not reflect current practice. Several questions deserve investigations in a multicenter study, about timing, risk factors, and outcome. Moreover, some European laboratories involved in the diagnosis of PcP have already given up to classical diagnostic methods and switched to qPCR. This implies that lower fungal burden can be detected and the clinical pertinence of such a diagnostic strategy deserves to be assessed.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of VX-121/tezacaftor/deutivacaftor (VX-121/TEZ/D-IVA) in CF participants who are homozygous for F508del, heterozygous for F508del and a gating (F/G) or residual function (F/RF) mutation, or have at least 1 other TCR CF transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene mutation and no F508del mutation.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of nemolizumab compared to placebo at reducing the intensity of pruritus after a 12-week treatment period in adult hemodialysis participants with moderate to severe pruritus.
In the present study, 126 patients were enrolled (23 control, 38 non-septic and 65 septic patients). Blood samples were collected from septic patients at the intensive care unit (ICU) at three time points (T1-3): T1: within 12h after admission; T2: second day morning; T3: third day morning. Sampling points for non-septic ICU patients were T1 and T3. Exclusion criteria were patients under 18 years of age, unobtainable consent, end-stage renal disease requiring chronic dialysis or kidney transplantation and patients with malignancies needing palliative care. Not more than one sample (venous blood) was collected from control patients. Plasma presepsin levels were determined by an automated chemiluminescence-based Point of Care instrument while serum gelsolin levels were measured using an automated immune turbidimetric assay. Plasma presepsin concentrations were expressed as pg/mL, while serum gelsolin levels were expressed as mg/L. Data were compared with laboratory and clinical parameters. Patients were categorized by the Sepsis-3 definitions and 10-day mortality data were investigated. Presepsin:gelsolin ratio was evaluated in major sepsis-related organ dysfunctions including hemodynamic disturbances, respiratory insufficiency and acute kidney injury (AKI).
The aim of the present study is to collect data on the feasibility of a preventative/therapeutic approach of radiation-induced oral mucositis with benzydamine oromucosal solution (mouthwash) in patients with head and neck cancer.
This study will be conducted in patients with erosive esophagitis due to gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) Los Angeles (LA) grades C or D, and in patients with at least partial symptom response but still endoscopically unhealed (LA grades A or B) after 8 weeks history of standard treatment healing course with PPI, designed to support dose selection for Phase 3 and to investigate safety, tolerability, and healing rates after 4 weeks treatment of X842 or Lansoprazole, and symptom pattern during subsequent 4 weeks treatment with Lansoprazole.
The main purpose of the study was to assess the effect of LY3502970 in participants who have obesity or are overweight.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of systemic / family constellation therapy in improving mild-moderate psychopathological symptoms and overall wellbeing in the general population. Given the limited amount of evidence on this therapeutic method, special attention will be given to monitor potential adverse outcomes to establish intervention safety. The study will use a randomized, wait-list controlled design and a 6-month follow-up time. This is the second study of this nature following a similar study from Germany.
