There are about 3753 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Hong Kong. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the therapeutic effect of adult autologous mesenchymal stem cells (abbreviated as MSCs) in patients with osteoarthritic knee and compare to intra articular injection of Synvisc-One.
Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the quality of training of the Resources Allocation Exercise (RAE) training programme for higher trainees (HT) and service doctors (SD) in the Hospital Authority (HA) using an evidence-based structured and comprehensive evaluation framework to identify areas for quality enhancement. Design, Setting and Subjects: A longitudinal study will be conducted using the Action Learning and Audit Spiral methodologies to measure whether the target standard of training intended by the RAE training programme is achieved. Each cluster coordinator will be invited to complete a questionnaire on structure and process of training. All eligible HT and SD will be invited to complete a questionnaire on the process of training and their training and education background. All HT and SD will also be included in the evaluation on the outcomes of training programme. Main Outcome Measures: The primary outcomes are the proportion of clusters that have satisfied each of the structure criteria, HT and SD who have reported the criterion process of training, and HT and SD who have rated the training programmes to be of educational value. Data Analysis: Descriptive statistics on standard of training will be calculated. Regressions will be used to identify factors that are associated with quality of training. Hypothesis: The quality of training of the RAE training programme will be determined. Areas of deficiency and possible areas for quality enhancement will be identified. The results of this study will provide empirical evidence on the quality of RAE training programme for HT and SD. It also provides information on the effectiveness of RAE training programmes for improving skills and knowledge of primary care doctors.

This study is specifically designed to evaluate the effect of a range of doses of DGAT2i alone, and DGAT2i + ACCi, on resolution of NASH or improvement in liver fibrosis, as assessed histologically (via liver biopsy).

Workplace wellness programs has been very feasible access to employees at their own convenience and need. Yoga@Work Program was developed to suit the need for information technology workers.
This study will examine the effects of Zentangle as an intervention for reducing stress and enhancing psychological wellbeing among Hong Kong adults. Zentangle is a mindful doodling process in which participants draw repetitive, structured patterns on small pieces of paper. The patterns consist of combinations of dots, lines, and curves. Zentangle is developed in 2003 by two Americans, and this concept is still new to many people. Some studies suggested that Zentangle can be effective in reducing stress and anxiety, but the number of research papers on Zentangle is limited. Although Zentangle has become a rather popular stress relief activity in Hong Kong recently due to its easiness to learn and minimal tool requirement, there is no related study on its effectiveness in promoting psychological wellbeing in Hong Kong.
Homebound older adults are among the highest users in health care systems. The high use of health care services is related to their physical limitations compounded by complex health and social care needs. Homebound older adults can be difficult to reach because they seldom participate and engage in community services due to their functional limitations, which leaves their health needs largely unrecognized at an earlier stage. This study tries to bring this group of older adults to the providers' attention and design a health-social oriented self-care mHealth program and subject it to empirical testing.
Image-guided percutaneous lung biopsy is an essential procedure in lung cancer management, where it is integral to confirming the diagnosis and determining tumour histology. An ideal percutaneous lung biopsy also needs to have a short procedure time with accurate needle placement to minimize the inherent risk of the procedure. Since the 1970s, conventional Multi-detector CT (MDCT) has been the modality of choice in percutaneous lung biopsy. Recent research has proposed CT fluoroscopy and cone-beam CT (CBCT) as alternative methods. Virtual guidance has been developed to improve target visibility and access for these complex cases. More specifically, it plans a potential computed 3D needle path before the procedure, using the CBCT images. This 3D path can be transposed onto real time fluoroscopic images to guide the biopsy, thus potentially improves patients' safety due to more accurate needle placement.
