There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This randomized, open-label study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab compared with chemotherapy consisting of a platinum agent (cisplatin or carboplatin per investigator discretion) combined with either pemetrexed (non-squamous disease) or gemcitabine (squamous disease) in programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1)-selected, chemotherapy-naive participants with Stage IV Non-Squamous or Squamous NSCLC.
The purpose of this study is to validate a diagnostic test that combines different blood markers to identify and correctly classify patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD) compared to individuals with behavioural variant frontotemporal dementia (bvFTD, patient control) versus cognitively healthy individuals (healthy control).
Postresuscitation disease is characterized by post-insult systemic inflammation, adrenal insufficiency, and circulatory failure. Such severe pathology may be associated with increased susceptibility to infectious complications and increased risk of death due to postresuscitation septic shock. The latter may be attenuated by stress-dose steroids. In this re-analysis of synthesized randomized clinical trial (RCT) data, the investigators will use individual patient data from two prior RCTs of in-hospital cardiac arrest (NCT00411879 & NCT00729794), in order to determine the effect of stress-dose steroids on the severity of postresuscitation infectious complications, and more specifically, on the risk of septic shock-associated death.
Paclitaxel is an antiproliferative drug that can limit vascular intimal hyperplasia. Paclitaxel-coated balloons already have indications in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease. This randomized controlled trial is designed to prove the superiority of a drug-eluting balloon catheter (Paclitaxel-coated balloon) over a plain balloon catheter in the treatment of stenosed autogeneous and prosthetic vascular accesses, in hemodialysis patients. The hypothesis is that use of drug-eluting balloon will improve post-interventional patency of the access, and therefore, limit numbers and days of hospitalization for maintenance of hemodialysis vascular accesses.
The purpose of this clinical study is to evaluate the metrological properties of a questionnaire that aims to identify the vitamin D status in reference to a vitamin D blood dosage.
Assessment of long-term safety and efficacy of oral lacosamide (LCM) as an adjunctive therapy for uncontrolled primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (PGTCS) in subjects >= 4 years of age with idiopathic generalized epilepsy (IGE). This study will enroll subjects from the LCM SP0982 [NCT02408523] study.
Evaluating efficacy & safety of lacosamide versus Placebo in a blinded fashion as add-on Therapy for Primary Generalized Tonic-clonic (PGTC) seizures in subject 4 years of age or greater with idiopathic generalized epilepsy currently taking 1 to 3 antiepileptic drugs. Maximum duration of study drug administration is 28 weeks. Eligible subjects may choose to enter the open-label extension study after completion.
Compare the effect of paravertebral block (PVB) with Ropivacaine or placebo on the incidence of chronic pain 3 months after breast cancer surgery.
The purpose of this project is to study the efficacy of triheptanoin oil in patients with Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC) due to ATP1A3 gene mutation.
Practice guidelines recommend early physical therapy in intensive care unit. Feasibility, safety and efficacy are confirmed by growing evidence based data. However, the scientific literature emphasizes the heterogeneity of targeted populations, lack of precisions concerning eligibility criteria, program modalities, timing initiation, progressions and stopping criteria. However, all these results remain to be precised and confirmed. So, the investigators hypothesize that an early exercise program in intensive care unit formalized from a decisional algorithm is well tolerated in clinical practice.
