Severe brain injury (SBI) is one of the world's leading causes of death and disability in young adults, but its peripheral vascular consequences in humans are poorly understood. This prospective, monocentric, pathophysiological study aims to investigate differences in vasoreactivity in the anterior aspect of the contralateral forearm at the most injured cerebral hemisphere between patients with severe head trauma and patients with severe trauma without associated brain injury matched on sex and age (+/- 5 years).
Incisional hernia is one of the most common complications of abdominal surgery and carries a significant burden for both patients and the economic health service. However, no consensus for the surgical treatment of incisional hernia in contaminated field is currently available. This study aims at exploring patients' ability to monitor their own memory performance depending on their primary deficit and the type of memory involved in the criterion task. The goal is to evaluate if semantic dementia (SD) and Alzheimer's disease (AD) differently affect patients' awareness of their memory abilities.
The hypothesis is that from a cluster defined by a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 and its contact cases, it is possible to study the different expressions and clinical evolutions of COVID-19 infection and to explore the biological profiles related to the observed clinical history. Certain biological determinants (virological, immunological, microbological or gentic) could indeed be correlated with the clinical presentation and/or be useful for personalized care. The main objective is to study the relationship between the biological profiles observed and the clinical evolutions within the same cluster of transmission of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (positive COVID-19 cases and contact subjects).
The purpose of this extension study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of brolucizumab used in a Treat-to-Control-regimen for treatment of patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration who have completed the CRTH258A2303 (TALON) study. The main objective was to assess brolucizumab's potential for long durability up to 20 weeks. All eligible participants were treated with brolucizumab regardless of their treatment in the TALON study. The study period was 56 weeks including post-treatment follow-up.

The study ANRS 174 Doxyvac is a clinical trial that will use Combined Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in Men Who Have Sex with Men and using oral TDF/FTC for HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and vaccination with Bexsero.
To prospectively collect and assess the perception of health-related Quality of Life, Pain and Walking Ability.
Phase 1: 25 patients with a PCR-based diagnosis of Covid-19 will be be included to give 500 microliters of saliva and a 3 ml sample of blood for proteomic analysis; a drop of blood will also be put in a device connected to a silica matrix to perform spectrometric analyses. 25 patients with a non-Covid-19 respiratory infection will be included for the same samples. The proteomic analyses will be performed from classicaly draught blood, blood drop on silica, and saliva, to search for discriminating profiles between Covid-19 and non-Covid-19. Phase 2: 150 patients with a suspected Covid-19 will be included at the same time than the Covid-19PCR is performed ; they will have a sample of saliva and of a drop of blood for proteomic analysis, whose results will be matched with PCR results.
Researchers in this study want to compare how well drug radium-223 dichloride (Xofigo) and new (novel) anti-hormonal (NAH) therapy work in participants with prostate gland cancer which has spread to the bone and progressed on or after one line of NAH therapy. Meanwhile researchers want to compare the safety of radium-223 dichloride and NAH therapy. Radium-223 dichloride is known as a radioactive drug that is taken up by bones after it is injected into the body. It works by giving off a type of radioactivity that travels a very short distance and kills the tumor cells that have spread to the bone without major effects to the healthy cells. It has been approved in many countries for the treatment of patients with prostate cancer which has spread to the bone. The NAH drugs used in this study will be either abiraterone acetate (Zytiga) (plus prednisone/prednisolone) or enzalutamide (Xtandi). Both of them are standard approved medications which are used in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. Participants in this study will receive either Radium-223 dichloride or a NAH therapy. Radium-223 dichloride will be given as an infusion into one of the veins on Day 1 of each 4-week cycle for a total of up to 6 cycles. Oral NAH therapy will be given per the standard approved dose once daily until the disease has progressed. Participants will visit the hospital or clinic every 2 weeks for the first 6 cycles, and only on the first day of each cycle from cycle 7 and onwards. Observation for each participant will last for about 2 years in total. Blood and urine samples will be collected from the participants and participants will be asked to complete questionnaires about the well-being and the pain.
