There are about 36633 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in France. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study assesses the reproducibility of 3 different formulas in calculating the volume of a transplanted kidney by ultrasound in-vivo measurements. 3 series of measurements will be performed by 2 different operators during the usual ultrasound follow-up of the renal transplant.
Chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is one of the most deleterious adverse effect of neurotoxic anticancer drugs affecting up to 40% of patients. These neurotoxic anticancer agents include mainly: cisplatin (bronchopulmonary cancers), oxaliplatin (colorectal cancers), paclitaxel (breast cancers and bronchopulmonary cancers), docetaxel (breast cancers and bronchopulmonary cancers) and bortezomib (multiple myeloma). CIPN affects not only the quality of life of patients, it also has a major impact on oncology strategy, forcing oncologists to reduce dose-intensity, to stop an ongoing chemotherapy regimen and to change therapeutic strategies, with a risk of compromising patients' survival. There is no real preventive or curative treatment (except duloxetine) for CIPN and it is not known what is the practice of oncologists in France? However, it is essential to know the degree of sensitivity of oncologists to this problem and their practice. With this study, the investigators propose to assess the current practices of management by oncologists in France in 2019, for any type of practitioners of university hospital, or general hospital, for all type of neurotoxic anticancer drugs.
The purpose of this study is to provide the latest information on the oral health status of patients, the lifetime of restorations, to quantify the incidence of defects rates on inserted restorations in conservative dentistry. Moreover, the study permits to compare needs of two different patient populations depending on the place of consultation (those consulting in hospital services and those consulting in private structures) and to compare the quality of coronary fillings in patients with of Gougerot Sjogren disease and those not affected. A minimum sample of 840 adult subjects consecutively seen at the investigator's office over a period of 33 months is expected ; 400 subjects included in private structures and 440 subjected included in university hospital services (8 to 15 patients per investigator), including at least 40 patients with Gougerot Sjogren disease (disease prevalence = 0.1%). The investigators of these study are 46 dentists working in private dental practices or private structures of dental care spread over the " Ile-de-France " and " Rhône-Alpes Auvergne " régions and 43 dentists working in 13 french university hospital services in odontology, including two hosting one consultation for Gougerot Sjogren disease, from the ReCOL network (Recherche Clinique en Odontologie Libérale).
Little is known about old MS patients. In a previous work, systematic search in Bordeaux, Strasbourg and Dijon university hospital regional MS center databases European Database for Multiple Sclerosis (EDMUS) retrieved 2% of 75 years old or older Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients in the 3 databases. Data analysis showed that MS may switch off in the very old patients with mild progression and very few relapses. The project is to continue this preliminary work and extend it with a systematic study of MS in the elderly. The scientific aims: To add new insights into long lasting MS natural history in the growing population of elderly patients with MS.
The response to primary tetanus immunization of HIV-infected children is lower than that of uninfected children. Response to tetanus toxoid (TT) booster doses in adults living with HIV who have received primary vaccination prior to infection is not known. Currently, it is recommended to have a TT booster for people living with HIV (PLHIV) every 10 years. In general population, this recall is made only at 25, 45 and 65 years, then every 10 years.
Safe operative vaginal delivery requires a careful assessment of the clinical situation. During the pushing efforts, the complexity of the delivery can lead to choose between an operative vaginal delivery attempt and a caesarean section straightaway. An emergency caesarean section for failed operative vaginal delivery is associated with a higher fetal and maternal morbidity, compared to a successful operative vaginal delivery and to a caesarean section straightaway. The objective of this study was to develop a risk score of failed vacuum extraction leading to an emergency caesarean section. This score could be an objective tool to help the obstetricians to choose between a vacuum extraction attempt and a caesarean section straightaway. The investigators included patients who benefited from a vacuum extraction attempt in the Regional Teaching Hospital of Besançon (France) between January 2010 and December 2015. Patients were separated into two groups : the vacuum extraction failure group and the vacuum extraction success group. The investigators selected maternal, fetal and labor characteristics which could influence success or failure of the vacuum extraction and compared them between the two groups. The score was developed with the characteristics which significantly influence the vacuum extraction failure.
Methotrexate is a key treatment for inflammatory rheumatism. Therapeutic compliance with methotrexate is difficult to measure because of a lack of objective testing; however, therapeutic compliance is essential for the proper management of a patient. The objective is to characterize the kinetics of elimination of methotrexate and its main metabolite7-OH-methotrexate for observant patients according to treatment (dosage, administration) and patient characteristics. Once this kinetics is characterized, it will be considered as a comparison reference to identify non-observant patients that is to say having concentrations lower than the lower bound of the confidence interval of the observed concentrations.
Monocentric, randomized, controlled, single-blind study who's aim is to demonstrate the efficacy of the association of paravertebral block and serratus plane block with paravertebral block alone
Osteoarticular infections at pneumococcal are rare, potentially serious and remain under diagnosed. They represent 3 at 10% of the arthritis septic in the literature. 190 cases have been published of 1965 at 2003. They represent 0.3% at 0.6% of the bacteraemia at Streptococcus peumoniae.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Lenti-D Drug Product (also known as elivaldogene autotemcel or Skysona, hereafter referred to as eli-cel) after myeloablative conditioning with busulfan and fludarabine in participants with CALD. A participant's blood stem cells will be collected and modified (transduced) using the Lenti-D lentiviral vector encoding human adrenoleukodystrophy protein. After modification (transduction) with the Lenti-D lentiviral vector, the cells will be transplanted back into the participant following myeloablative conditioning. Enrollment and treatment in Study ALD-104 have been completed and further enrollment in this study is not expected, although participants follow-up remains ongoing in the long-term follow-up Study LTF-304 (NCT02698579).
