RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as alemtuzumab, can locate tumor cells and either kill them or deliver tumor-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well alemtuzumab works in treating patients with Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia.
The purpose of this research study is to obtain experience in the use of fondaparinux (Arixtra) as compared to heparin when administered to patients who undergo percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). PCI is a mechanical procedure used to widen the narrowing in a coronary artery in patients with symptomatic coronary artery disease. Fondaparinux and heparin are drugs that inhibit blood clotting.
RATIONALE: Biological therapies such as KRN7000 use different ways to stimulate the immune system and stop cancer cells from growing. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of KRN7000 in treating patients who have solid tumors that have not responded to previous treatment.
