Implicit and Explicit Assessment of Suicide Risk

In 2007 Nock & Banaji developed a so-called implicit suicide risk measurement using a computer tool: the Implicit Association Test (IAT). This measurement, associated with traditional evaluations, makes it possible to better predict suicidal recurrence. In 2020, the Poitiers team of Tello was able to replicate these results on a French population. However, although a high IAT score predicts the onset of suicide at 1 year, there is no data on how this score changes over time nor even data concerning the measure's ability to differentiate a population with explicit suicidal ideation from a population without explicit suicidal ideation. The investigators therefore seek to demonstrate an evolution of implicit suicidal ideation over time by replicating the measurement at inclusion, at 6 months and at 12 months, for different patient profiles: Suicidal ideation vs No suicidal ideation and suicide attempt vs no suicide attempt. Patients will be recruited from the emergency-unit of CHU Amiens-Picardie and will take the suicide-IAT as well as various questionnaires.

Customized Antibiotic Treatment Duration Among Hospitalized Patients With Moderately Severe Community-Acquired Pneumonia

The primary objective of the study is to evaluate if the efficacy of an experimental strategy on antibiotic treatment duration based on stopping treatment when stability criteria are reached after at least 48 h of treatment, is non-inferior to the efficacy of standard antibiotic duration in CAP patients treated in the hospital setting. As the secondary objectives, the study aims - To study if the efficacy of our experimental strategy on antibiotic treatment duration compared to standard of care in CAP patients treated in the hospital setting is non-inferior in terms of: - Persistence of cure at Day 30 of antibiotic treatment - All-cause mortality rate on Day 30 of antibiotic treatment - Patients evolution of pneumonia symptoms and quality of life via 2 scores (CAP score, CAP Sym) at Day 0 of treatment (retrospectively), at stability (Day S), at Day 7 , at Day 15, and at Day 30 of antibiotic treatment. - To compare between the 2 study arms at Day 30 of antibiotic treatment: - The duration of antibiotic treatment; - The length of hospital stay; - The frequency and severity of adverse events during the 30 days after the start of treatment. - To explore the impact of reduced antibiotic treatment duration for CAP on the oropharyngeal resistome.

Efficacy and Acceptability of the Luna EMG Rehabilitation Robot on Motor Recovery of the Upper Limb in the Chronic Phase of Stroke

Recent work on large cohorts of chronic stroke (>6 months post-stroke) have shown that intensive training of the upper limb in the chronic stroke patients can lead to substantial motor and functional gains that are maintained at 6 months post intervention. A very prolonged (12 weeks) and very intensive (5 hours daily) training applied to chronic patients after stroke brings a substantial gain both motor and functional which is maintained at 3 months post intervention. Robotic rehabilitation have been shown to be as effective as any other treatment used in rehabilitation. But the methods of implementation remain widely debated. At that time, most robotic therapies have tried to reproduce functional movement mainly pointing objects. We want to demonstrate that analytic movements of the elbow and the shoulder performed with the Luna-EMG robot can replace part of usual physiotherapy treatment with at least the same effectiveness on the recovery of fluid movements of the upper limb after a stroke.

As of 2019, the CA-SFM (Comité de l'Antibiogramme de la Société Française de Microbiologie) recommends that the letter "I" or the term "intermediate" on antibiotic antibiograms. Instead, it is recommended that the term "sensible à forte posologie" or "SFP". These recommendations have been in place since 21/01/2022 at Nancy University Hospital. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the bacterium most affected by this change, as it has a high proportion of "high dosage" antibiotics. Staphylococcus aureus is the most widely isolated bacterium, and also impacted by the change in antibiotic susceptibility testing. The aim of this change in recommendations is to guarantee the efficacy of the proposed molecules. Contribution of an Antiviral Drug (Valaciclovir) in the Treatment of Generalized Periodontitis (Stage III or IV and Grade A, B or C): Prospective, Randomized and Double Blind Clinical Trial

Periodontitis is an inflammatory pathology that destroys periodontitis and causes tooth loosening. Its high incidence, combined with very high oral and systemic morbidity, places this pathology at the heart of global public health priorities. The current therapeutic management of periodontitis is not satisfactory because it often leads to a stabilization of the disease, marked by frequent recurrences, especially severe forms. Improving the treatment of patients with periodontitis is therefore an essential priority. If gingival bacterial dysbiosis is a major contributing factor, this model has clinical-biological limitations that suggest that other etiological factors are involved, and worsen the pathology. In particular, the literature provides clear evidence that periodontal lesions are mostly infected with Herpes EBV, CMV and HSV-1 viruses and that periodontal infection with these viruses is very directly correlated with disease progression (severity). In addition, our work provides new cellular and molecular data that demonstrate mechanisms of active EBV infection of cells and periodontal structures, and highlight inflammatory and necrotic effects associated with this infection. Given these observations and the high pathogenicity of herpes viruses, all known to be powerful inflammatory, lytic and immunomodulatory agents, it seems difficult not to evoke a direct etiopathogenic role of these viruses capable of acting synergistically with periodontopathogenic bacteria. In this context, the use of an antiviral appears as a very attractive therapeutic proposal to effectively treat periodontitis in combination with conventional treatments. This original and innovative proposal can also be easily and quickly validated in a randomized therapeutic trial through the availability of antiviral molecules that are non-toxic and very specific to human herpes viruses that are derivatives of aciclovir.
