This study aims at defining the role of O-GlcNAcylation is in the physiopathology of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). O-GlcNAcylation is a metabolic pathway potentially implicated in SLE with potential for the discovery of new therapeutic strategies.
The study aims at describing long term functional outcome of patients that underwent pollicisation surgery. The hypothesis of the study is that there are prognostic factors of good function results of pollicisation (based on T-GAP classification for function) that will be searched on univariate and multivariate analysis.
Continuous Doppler ankle brachial index (ABI) is the gold standard for screening and monitoring of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) but is no longer carried out in clinical practice. The recommended measurement was gradually replaced by colour or pulsed Doppler without validation of these techniques. The objective of our study is to compare these two techniques (color Doppler and pulsed Doppler in echodoppler) with respect to the gold standard (continuous Doppler) for ABI measurement.
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a frequent cardiac pathology with an estimated prevalence of 1/500 in France. The main risk factor for sudden death in this pathology is the presence and extent of left ventricular obstruction. To date, the only method allowing a reliable assessment of the extent of left ventricular obstruction is Doppler echocardiography. All patients with HCM should undergo cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to confirm the diagnosis and for the detection of fibrosis, but conventional sequences cannot reliably assess the obstruction. 4D-flow MRI provides a complete coverage of an entire volume with the ability to simultaneously measure the outputs of all vessels within that volume in a single sequence and might be able to quantify left ventricular obstruction. The main objective of this study is to compare the quantification of left ventricular obstruction in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy by Doppler echocardiography and 4D flow MRI.
Severe infections (sepsis) are a common cause of admission to the intensive care unit. They represent a significant health risk for patients in the short and medium term. They are particularly linked to a change in the function of immune cells. In some patients, a state of pseudo-dormancy of monocyte and macrophage-type immune cells, called immunosuppression of myeloid cells, is observed. This situation leads to a worsening of the infection, so it should be avoided because it represents a danger for the patient even when they ar receiving antibiotics. At present, these events are still very poorly understood. Research is essential to understand how this state of immunosuppression of myeloid cells is established in order to adapt existing treatments or find new ones. Laboratory studies on animal models of septicaemia have shown that this state of immunosuppression of myeloid cells is closely linked to a change in the production of energy by myeloid cells (monocytes and macrophages). The functioning of the mitochondria ("energy factory" of the cells) in these cells is impaired. Thus, restoring mitochondrial function in myeloid cells could be a therapeutic solution against the immunosuppression of myeloid cells during severe septicaemia. The objective of this study is to verify whether alterations in mitochondrial function in myeloid cells also occur in patients with bacterial infection compared to patients without bacterial infection.
The induction of general anaesthesia is associated with a fall in lung volume due in particular to a decrease in muscle tone and the formation of denitrogenation atelectasis. Many recent studies insist on the need to apply a so-called "protective" strategy of intraoperative ventilation, which combines the use of recruitment manoeuvres, reduced tidal volume (Vt) (6-8ml/kg) and positive expiratory pressure (PEEP) to prevent these phenomena. However, the setting of PEEP remains debated and several authors agree on the need to individualize ventilatory parameters, particularly in obese patients, without describing the individualization tools. In the ICU, it has been shown that electrical impedance tomography (EIT) can be used to individualise the PEEP level in a simple and non-invasive way. Therefore, we wish to determine whether the use of this technique during general anaesthesia allows for the individualization of PEEP, and whether the value determined is correlated with the body mass index (BMI).

The precise mechanism of Cluster Headache (CH) is still unknown. The question is whether these dysautonomic disorders are simply secondary to the Cluster Headache (CH) process or whether they are the triggering factor.

SARS-CoV-2 induced by COVID 19, involved the hospitalization of 101,932 patients in France, including 4,007 in intensive care (source: Santé Publique France). Alsace was one of the most affected regions on the metropolitan territory with a large number of patients hospitalized at the University Hospital of Strasbourg. In view of the seriousness of the epidemic and the rapid arrival of new patients requiring mechanical ventilation, 3 new intensive care units have been created on the NHC site alone, making it possible to accommodate a maximum of 111 patients (compared to 52 during normal periods).
