NCT ID: NCT05175586 Completed - Articular; Rigid Clinical Trials

Physiotherapeutic Case Studies in Frozen Shoulder Pathology

CH-Case
Start date: February 3, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The stiff shoulder presents symptoms such as pain, loss of mobility and strength, being more common the idiopathic origin associated to the female gender. The definitive diagnosis presents complications due to the number of etiologies that can cause it. Epidemiologically, it presents from 2 to 5% of medical incapacities in the working population. Objective: To investigate the efficacy of percutaneous Neuromodulation together with Orthopedic Manual Therapy (Maitland and Mulligan) in comparison with Orthopedic Manual Therapy (Maitland and Mulligan) used in stiff shoulder.Design: Experimental clinical trial in 30 patients aged 21 to 76 years from a physiotherapy center divided into two groups: Group 1 (n=15) Percutaneous Neuromodulation + Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (Maitland and Mulligan) Group 2 (n=15) Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (Maitland and Mulligan).

NCT ID: NCT05175534 Completed - Clinical trials for Liver Transplant; Complications

Contributions of Transesophageal Echocardiography in Liver Transplant Surgery

Start date: January 30, 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this study is to describe the safety and impact of transesophageal echocardiography in instability episodes during liver transplantation, especially during reperfusion stage. After institutional review board approval, this study was performed in Vall d´Hebron University Hospital including patients undergoing liver transplantation Interventions: peroperative transesophageal echocardiography A transesophageal echocardiography scan was performed in case of hemodynamic instability episodes, and immediately after vascular unclamping. The investigators registered percentatge of patients with diastolic/systolic dysfunction, hypovolemia, vasodilatation, embolism and percentatge of patients with postreperfusion syndrome

NCT ID: NCT05175183 Completed - Sports Injury Clinical Trials

Epidemiology of Speed Skating-related Injuries

Start date: December 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Speed skating is a sport in which there´s a lack of epidemiological studies. In line with the well-established model of sports injury prevention research proffered by van Mechelen, the first stage in this process is establishing the extent of the problem i.e. injury incidence, severity and burden. Through an online survey filled by semiprofessional athletes, it is posible to obtain all this important information. This way, it will be possible to fulfill a gap in the literature and take action in the near future in order to reduce the prevalence of injuries in this sport.

NCT ID: NCT05174845 Completed - Colon Cancer Clinical Trials

Real Word Evidence With 1L Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)+ Ascorbic Acid in Iberia

Start date: October 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

A retrospective study to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of 1L polyethylene glycol (PEG)+ Ascorbic acid given for bowel preparation before colonoscopy.

NCT ID: NCT05173571 Completed - Clinical trials for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis

Homecare Integral Support Program for IPF Patients

PSPi-IPF
Start date: July 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Homecare patient support program especially designed for covering IPF patient needs, implemented for 12 months, for improving quality of life

NCT ID: NCT05173259 Completed - Clinical trials for Mastication Disorder

Masticatory Side-switch and Mixing Ability.

Start date: December 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The main aim of this cross-over intervention study is to assess the effect of masticatory side-switch frequency on different aspects of masticatory function, including masticatory mixing ability and rhythm. A secondary aim is to explore the subjective perception of taste, muscular fatigue, and saliva production through a VAS. Thirty-six volunteers recruited for convenience, among students of the Degree of Dentistry of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona, will perform 6 tests, each consisting of 2 assays, chewing a two-coloured chewing gum, during 40 masticatory cycles. The tests will be randomised masticatory sequences of "free-style", "unilateral-right", "unilateral-left", switching the chewing side at 5% "G05", at 15% "G15" and at 25% "G25". Video recordings of these tests will be made to later assess, on slow playback, the change of the chewing side and the masticatory rhythm. The masticatory mixing ability will be determined through the scanning and posterior analysis of the red-channel in the histogram plug-in in "ImageJ" (R).

NCT ID: NCT05173194 Completed - Cystic Fibrosis Clinical Trials

Remotely Supervised Exercise for Adults With Cystic Fibrosis

Start date: October 26, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease characterized by abnormal chloride transport in epithelial tissues. Inflammation is a key component contributing to the main alterations induced by the disease. The increase in life expectancy comes with a higher prevalence of CF-related comorbidities, but also with new emerging complications directly related to aging. Physical fitness and exercise practice have been previously associated to survival and better quality of life in patients with cystic fibrosis. Thus, the aim of this study is to assess the effects of a remotely supervised resistance exercise program on lung function, muscle strength, body composition, quality of life and inflammatory markers in adult patients with cystic fibrosis.

NCT ID: NCT05172050 Completed - Clinical trials for SARS CoV 2 Infection
