NCT ID: NCT03273985 Completed - Clinical trials for Myofascial Pain Syndrome

Effectiveness of Dry Needling in Shortened Triceps Surae Muscle

DN-TS
Start date: September 15, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To date, there are not studies about the effectiveness of dry needling versus ischemic compression in the triceps surae trigger points. A randomized clinical trial is carried out. A sample of 30 subjects are recruited and allocated into dry needling (n = 15) and ischemic compression (n = 15). Outcome measurements such as dorsal flexion range of motion, plantar pressures, temperature, superficial muscle activity and trigger points pressure pain threshold are measured immediately before and after treatment.

NCT ID: NCT03272776 Completed - Airway Clinical Trials

Multicenter Study of the Protector Laryngeal Mask

Start date: August 1, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The study was designed to evaluate the success rate, time of insertion, sealing efficacy and security of the Protector Laryngeal Mask, a new second generation disposable supraglottic airway device, in patients undergoing elective surgery.

NCT ID: NCT03272412 Completed - Clinical trials for Ongoing Pregnancy Rate

Serum Progesterone on the Day of Embryo Transfer and Pregnancy Rate.

Start date: September 8, 2017
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study aims to analyze whether serum Progsterone levels on the day of Embryo Transfer are related with Ongoing Pregnancy rate in artificial endometrial preparation cycles with intravaginal micronized progesterone.

NCT ID: NCT03271047 Completed - MSS Clinical Trials

Study of Binimetinib + Nivolumab Plus or Minus Ipilimumab in Patients With Previously Treated Microsatellite-stable (MSS) Metastatic Colorectal Cancer With RAS Mutation

Start date: October 18, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a multicenter, open-label, Phase 1B/2 study to evaluate the safety and assess the preliminary anti-tumor activity of binimetinib administered in combination with nivolumab or nivolumab + ipilimumab in adult patients with advanced metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) with microsatellite stable (MSS) disease and presence of a RAS mutation that have received at least one prior line of therapy and no more than 2 prior lines of therapy. The study contains a Phase 1b period to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) and schedule of binimetinib followed by a randomized Phase 2 period to assess the efficacy of the combinations.

NCT ID: NCT03270488 Completed - Pain Clinical Trials

Laser Therapy, Pain and Carpometacarpal Joint Osteoarthritis Treatment

Laser
Start date: February 24, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic and prevalent joint disorder with great impact on quality of life and high economic burden. Although a number of conservative therapies have proven to be effective for the management of hand OA, only modest treatment effects were reported for most individual interventions. The aim of the proposed study is to assess the effect of laser therapy on pain, function and force in patients with carpometacarpal osteoarthritis (CMC OA).

NCT ID: NCT03269175 Completed - Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Trials

BENEFIT 15 Long-term Follow-up Study of the BENEFIT and BENEFIT Follow-up Studies

Start date: September 29, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to obtain long-term clinical data from patients approximately 15 years after their first clinical event, who participated in the former BENEFIT 304747 study and were treated at least once within that study. This study will collect clinical information on the disease course, on disability, relapses, cognitive function over time, quality of life, depression, fatigue, resource use, and employment status. In addition, brain MRI is performed.

NCT ID: NCT03268382 Completed - Clinical trials for High-grade Serous Ovarian Cancer

p53 Activation in Platinum-Resistant High Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer, a Study of PLD With APR-246

Start date: July 31, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to make a preliminary assessment of the efficacy of a combined APR-246 and PLD chemotherapy regimen in patients with platinum-resistant recurrent high grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) with mutated TP53. In addition, the study aims to assess the safety profile of the combined APR-246 and PLD chemotherapy regimen, to evaluate potential biomarkers, and to assess the biological activity in tumor and surrogate tissues. The trial will enroll at least 25 evaluable patients.

NCT ID: NCT03268005 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Research Study Comparing a New Medicine "Fast-acting Insulin Aspart" to Another Already Available Medicine "NovoRapid"/"NovoLog" in People With Type 2 Diabetes

onset 9
Start date: September 19, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The study compares 2 medicines for type 2 diabetes: fast-acting insulin aspart (a new medicine) and NovoRapid®/NovoLog® (a medicine doctors can already prescribe). Fast-acting insulin aspart will be tested to see how well it works and if it is safe. Participants will get either fast-acting insulin aspart or NovoRapid®/ NovoLog® - which treatment you get is decided by chance. Both medicines will be taken together with insulin degludec. Participants will need to take 1 injection 4 times every day (all insulins will be provided in pens). The study will last for about 8 months (34 weeks).
