Evaluation of the combination of avelumab + bempegaldesleukin (NKTR-214 ) in locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck ( metastatic SCCHN) and avelumab + bempegaldesleukin (NKTR-214) + talazoparib or enzalutamide in metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
This study will evaluate the efficacy, safety, durability, and pharmacokinetics of KSI-301 administered at 12, 16 and 20 weeks intervals as specified in the protocol, compared with aflibercept once every 8 weeks (Q8W), in participants with treatment-naïve neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (nAMD).
This is a Phase 2, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter, multinational, dose-finding study evaluating the efficacy of three treatment doses of CC-90001 compared with placebo, in Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) participants with Stage 2, Stage 3 liver fibrosis. This study is designed to assess response to treatment on measures of fibrosis and other efficacy parameters. It will also assess dose response and overall safety.
It is an observational and prospective study that will include consecutively 63 controls (fetuses with estimated fetal weight above the 10th centile) and 63 fetuses with defects in fetal growth (estimated fetal weight below the 10th percentile) during the third trimester (32-26 weeks) with gestational age at birth equal or over 37 weeks. Investigators will collect: (1) Obstetric and nutritional questionnaires, (2) maternal samples between 32-36 weeks (feces), (3) intrapartum samples (maternal blood, cord blood and placenta) and (4) postpartum samples (meconic and newborn feces at 6 weeks of life)
This trial will study SGN-CD228A to find out whether it is an effective treatment for different kinds of cancer. It will also look at what side effects (unwanted effects) may occur. The study will have two parts. Part 1 of the study will find out how much SGN-CD228A should be given for treatment and how often. Part 2 of the study will use the dose found in Part 1 and look at how safe and effective the treatment is.
This study is a Phase 1b open label, single arm, adaptive multi-centre trial of copanlisib in combination with trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1) in pretreated locally advanced or metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer. Patients with unresectable locally advanced or metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer who previously received trastuzumab and a taxane, separately or in combination, will be treated with copanlisib (to the dose escalation scheme) plus trastuzumab emtansine 3.6mg/kg IV on day 1 of a 21-day cycle.
This collaborative study in 9 geriatrics units across Europe aims to apply emerging research to clinical practice, following the "Action-Research Philosophy" (11). The overall goal is to improve care in patients with - and help prevent - sarcopenia. Understanding the frequency of and risk factors for developing sarcopenia in an acute hospital setting, may help shed light on potential interventions and thus inform the development of future therapeutic strategies. It involves crucial implications for research, clinical practice, and policy towards optimal aging.

The main aim of this study is to develop a virtual reality (VR) embodiment-based exposure technique to improve the treatment of anorexia nervosa (AN). A systematic and hierarchical body exposure intervention in which the patient owns a virtual avatar is proposed. At first, the virtual body matches with the real measurements of the patient, then the experimenter will progressively increase Body Mass Index (BMI) values of the virtual body during the exposure sessions until a healthy BMI value is reached (e.g. BMI score of 20). In this study a VR embodiment-based technique that combines visuo-motor and a visuo-tactile stimulation procedures is proposed in order to increase illusory feelings of ownership over the virtual body. It is hypothesised that adding a VR-based body exposure intervention to the classical cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) will significantly reduce symptomatology in AN patients.
