NCT ID: NCT03900559 Completed - Flying Phobia Clinical Trials

An Internet-based Treatment for Flying Phobia

Start date: February 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Flying phobia (FP) is one of the most prevalent phobias in our society. However, not all patients benefit from in vivo exposure, given that an important amount of them do not accept the intervention, drop out when they are informed about the intervention procedure, or have problems accessing these therapies. The aim of the present study is to conduct a feasibility pilot with NO-FEAR Airlines ICBT (Campos et al., 2016) using two types of images in the exposure scenarios (still images vs 360º navigable images). A secondary aim is to explore the potential effectiveness of the two active treatment arms compared to a waiting list control group. Finally, we will explore the role of navigable images compared to the still images in the level of anxiety, sense of presence, and reality judgment in the exposure scenarios and whether the aforementioned variables mediate in treatment efficacy. Regarding the main aim of this study, we hypothesize that both treatment conditions will be well accepted by the participants, but participants will prefer 360º images over still images.

NCT ID: NCT03900338 Completed - Arterial Stiffness Clinical Trials

Intestinal Microbiota and Arterial Stiffness

Start date: April 3, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is an observational case-control study which objective is to analyse differences in intestinal microbiota between patients with and without arterial stiffness, measured by pulse wave velocity. It will take place in two different research units located in Portugal and Spain.

NCT ID: NCT03899012 Completed - Incisional Hernia Clinical Trials

Audit of the EVEREG Incisional Hernia Registry (AUDHIT)

AUDHIT
Start date: March 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Objective: The objective of the study is to verify and validate the data collected in the EVEREG Incisional Hernia Surgery Registry between 2012 and 2018 through an audit process. Methods: An audit of registered cases (Incisional Hernia Patients undergoing surgery) from 2012 to 2018, and a descriptive analysis of these data will be performed Expected results: The study could show that the EVEREG Incisional Hernia Registry is a reliable source of information, valid for carrying out specific and exhaustive analysis that may lead to high quality publications. Relevance: The standardization of the data collection is very important to compare outcomes between different centers. This study will allow us to verify the accuracy of the collected data

NCT ID: NCT03898999 Completed - Aging Problems Clinical Trials

Relationship of de Ankle ROM With Balance and Falls in Older Adults

ANKLE_JOINT
Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The ankle is an important joint to maintain a good balance within the population of the older adult. As people get older, problems appear in this joint. Many of these problems affect the correct joint range of the ankle. There is evidence to suggest that a lower range of motion in the ankle can negatively affect balance and, consequently, increase the risk of falls in the elderly. It would be interesting to assess if this relationship is true. The aim of the study will be to study if the state of the joint range of the ankle is related in some way to balance and falls in the elderly.

NCT ID: NCT03898791 Completed - Clinical trials for Small Cell Lung Cancer

Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the recommended phase 2 dose of LY3295668 erbumine in participants with platinum-sensitive, extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer.

NCT ID: NCT03897114 Completed - Healthy Subjects Clinical Trials

Cocoa Intake for Health Promotion in Athletes

INDYCA
Start date: September 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Athletes consume an extra of nutritional supplements every day with the purpose of improving their athletic performance, sometimes without being aware of their health. Cocoa could be a good nutritional supplement for athletes without causing them adverse effects. One of the most common health concerns in athletes are gastrointestinal problems. The cause of these problems seem to be a compendium of physiological and mechanical causes that are altered due to nutritional factors. Currently, there is no assay in which a nutritional intervention study has been proposed over time of training, in order to improve the gastrointestinal problems associated with the performance of physical exercise.
