There are about 21071 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Spain. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Clinical phase 3 study to investigate the effect of recAP on 28 day mortality in patients admitted to the ICU with acute kidney injury that is caused by sepsis. The study has three distinct SA-AKI trial populations: 1. The main trial population: Patients with a pre-AKI reference eGFR ≥45 mL/min/1.73 m2 and no proven or suspected SARS-CoV-2 at time of randomization. 2. A 'moderate' CKD population: Patients with a pre-AKI reference eGFR ≥25 and <45 mL/min/1.73 m2 and no proven or suspected SARS-CoV-2 at time of randomization. 3. A Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) population: Patients with proven or suspected SARS-CoV-2 at time of randomization with or without 'moderate' CKD. For patients in this population, COVID-19 should be the main cause of SA-AKI. In the main study population approximately 1400 patients will be enrolled and in the two cohorts with moderate CKD and COVID-19 each up to 100 patients. There are two arms in the study, one with active treatment and one with an inactive compound (placebo). Treatment is by 1 hour intravenous infusion, for three days. Patients are followed up for 28 days to see if there is an improvement on mortality, and followed for 90 and 180 days for mortality and other outcomes e.g. long-term kidney function and quality of life.
The main purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of bempegaldesleukin plus nivolumab versus nivolumab in patients with completely resected Stage IIIA/B/C/D, or Stage IV cutaneous melanoma who are at high risk for recurrence.
A study evaluating the safety, preliminary efficacy and pharmacokinetics of ipatasertib in combination with atezolizumab and docetaxel in participants with mCRPC previously treated with second-generation AR (Androgen Receptor)-targeted therapy. The study consists of two parts: [1] Part A: Safety run-in cohort of approximately 12 participants; [2] Part B: Expansion cohort of approximately 38 participants. All participants in this study will continue to be treated until progression of disease, loss of clinical benefit, unacceptable toxicity or withdrawal of consent.
This is a multinational, multicentre, non-interventional, retrospective data collection (manual Medical Chart Review).
The purpose of this study is to determine whether potentiating the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) with QBW251 in patients with bronchiectasis will demonstrate clinical safety and efficacy related to improved mucociliary clearance with reduced bacterial colonization as potential drivers of airway obstruction, reduced airway inflammation, exacerbations and mucus load, improved lung function, clinical symptoms and quality of life to support further development in bronchiectasis.
The objectives of this study are to evaluate the safety, tolerability, antiviral activity and efficacy of AT-527 in adult subjects ≥18 years of age with moderate COVID-19 and risk factors for poor outcomes (such as obesity (BMI>30), hypertension, diabetes or asthma). Eligible subjects will be randomized to blinded AT-527 (nucleotide analog) tablets or matching placebo tablets to be administered orally for 5 days. Part A will evaluate an AT-527 dose of 550 mg BID and Part B will evaluate a second dose of AT-527 (1100 mg BID). Local supportive standard of care (SOC) will be allowed for all subjects. Efficacy, antiviral activity and safety observations will be compared for treatment with active AT-527 tablets vs. placebo tablets.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and dose escalation of SHP648 an adeno-associated viral vector for gene transfer in hemophilia B participants.
To collect data on the HARPOON™ Mitral Valve Repair System for use in patients with severe degenerative mitral regurgitation due to posterior leaflet prolapse.
A phase 2/3, randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy and the safety of ABX464 in treating inflammation and preventing acute respiratory failure in patients aged ≥65 and patients aged ≥18 with at least one additional risk factor who are infected with SARS-CoV-2 (the MiR-AGE study).
The aim of this study is to assess the effectiveness and feasibility of an adaptation of the Unified Protocol (UP) for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders to women living homeless in Madrid, Spain. To address this goal, both clinical and psychosocial outcomes will be measured. The application of the UP is postulated as an effective tool for improving mental health and well-being of women in a homeless situation, which in turn will enhance their social inclusion process.
