Study of Zevalin Versus Observation in Participants at Least 60 Years Old With Newly Diagnosed Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma in Positron Emission Tomography (PET)-Negative Complete Remission After Rituximab-Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Vincristine, and Prednisone (R-CHOP) or R-CHOP-like Therapy

Start date: April 19, 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Zevalin compared with observation alone in participants who are in PET-negative complete remission after first-line R-CHOP or R-CHOP like therapy.

NCT ID: NCT01508000 Terminated - Liver Metastases Clinical Trials

Efficacy of FOLFOX Alone, FOLFOX Plus Bevacizumab and FOLFOX Plus Panitumumab in Patients With Resectable Liver Metastases

BOS2
Start date: June 2013
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Patients presenting with multiple innumerable liver metastases will probably never come to resection, however, for all others, including patients with numerous multiple metastases or large metastases, resection should be considered after limited chemotherapy. There is consensus for a backbone chemotherapy consisting of fluoropyrimidine + oxaliplatin. FOLFOX was used in the previous EORTC study and is again recommended. The addition of targeted agents to standard chemotherapy in the perioperative strategy for mCRC might increase the ORR and R0 resectability, without significant increase in toxicity, therefore translating to a better outcome. It was therefore decided to design an open label, randomized, multi-center, 3-arm late phase II study. Arm A: (standard) mFOLFOX6 + Surgery Arm B: (experimental) mFOLFOX6 + Bevacizumab + Surgery Arm C: (experimental) mFOLFOX6 + Panitumumab + Surgery

NCT ID: NCT01500772 Terminated - Hepatitis C Clinical Trials

Alisporivir With pegIFN/RBV in Protease Inhibitor (PI) Treatment Failure Patients With Chronic Hepatitis C

Start date: February 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the overall efficacy, and safety profile, of triple combination therapy of DEB025/pegIFN/RBV in chronic hepatitis C patients who failed prior treatment with PI.

NCT ID: NCT01499667 Terminated - Clinical trials for Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS)

Disease Control and Safety in Patients With Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS) Switching From Natalizumab to Fingolimod

TOFIINGO
Start date: September 2011
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluated disease control during different lengths of treatment transition from natalizumab to fingolimod.

NCT ID: NCT01499355 Terminated - Lupus Nephritis Clinical Trials

BIIB023 Proof-of-Concept Study in Participants With Lupus Nephritis

ATLAS
Start date: July 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of the study is to assess the efficacy of BIIB023 as an add-on treatment to background therapy compared with placebo in combination with background therapy in the treatment of participants with active, biopsy-proven Lupus Nephritis. The secondary objectives of this study are to assess the safety and tolerability of BIIB023 compared with placebo in this study population. Participants who complete this study through Week 52 will be offered the option to enter an Extension study under a separate protocol 211LE202 (NCT0193089).

NCT ID: NCT01495247 Terminated - Clinical trials for Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC)

Phase Ib/II Trial of BEZ235 With Paclitaxel in Patients With HER2 Negative, Locally Advanced or Metastatic Breast Cancer

Start date: January 30, 2012
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective, multi-center, open-label, phase Ib/ II study (two parts) with patients that have locally advanced or metastatic HER2 negative breast cancer. The first part (phase Ib) will investigate the MTD / Recommended Phase 2 Dose (RP2D) of the combination therapy of BEZ235 twice daily (b.i.d.) and weekly paclitaxel using a Bayesian model. When MTD/ RP2D is established the second part (phase II) will start. Phase II will evaluate the efficacy and the safety of weekly paclitaxel alone compared to weekly paclitaxel plus BEZ235 bid.

NCT ID: NCT01493505 Terminated - Ovarian Cancer Clinical Trials

TRINOVA-3: A Study of AMG 386 or AMG 386 Placebo in Combination With Paclitaxel and Carboplatin to Treat Ovarian Cancer

Start date: January 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether AMG 386 or AMG 386 Placebo in combination with Paclitaxel and Carboplatin are effective in the treatment of ovarian cancer.

NCT ID: NCT01490021 Terminated - Healthy Clinical Trials

Influence of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) Challenge on Cognitive and Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging Markers in Healthy Subjects

Start date: December 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Episodic and working memory processes are the most affected cognitive domains in Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and its early stage, Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a unique tool to interfere with cognitive processes by inducing "virtual and transient lesions", mimicking those observed in MCI. It has proven repeatedly its capacity to interfere with encoding-retrieval memory task. However, to date, only few imaging data exist on the cerebral pathways involved in encoding memory task. Moreover, the stability of TMS effects over time remains to be investigated. If proven to be a stable interfering challenge, TMS could be used to investigate the potential restoring effect of new medication in AD. The study is the pilot study of a larger clinical trial which aims to prove the utility of rTMS as a potential model for prediction of clinical efficacy using a combination of cognitive and neuroimaging endpoints.
