There are about 21071 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Spain. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Main outcome: Assess the impact of cancer-related survival at 2 years in patients with unresectable metastatic colorectal cancer treated with chemotherapy alone versus surgery followed by chemotherapy. To assess overall survival. To evaluate postoperative morbidity and mortality in patients treated with resection of the primary tumor. Assess complications and meed for surgery in patients treated with systemic chemotherapy only during the course of the disease. Identify and describe the complications related to chemotherapy and toxicity in the short and medium term systemic treatment. Assessing the quality of life questionnaire QLQ-C30 and QLQ-CR29. To study prognostic survival factors. Method: multicenter randomized clinical trail (22 hospitals). Two parallel group in which to evaluate two therapeutic strategies for colorectal cancer metastasis unresectable stage IV: chemotherapy alone versus primary tumor resection plus chemotherapy. Subjects: patients with unresectable nonmetastatic colorectal cancer. Hypothesis:Surgical resection of the primary tumor in stage IV colorectal patients with unresectable synchronous metastases increases by 14% overall survival compared to patients receiving systemic treatment with chemotherapy without resection of the primary tumor (survival of 34% vs 20%).
The main purpose of this study is to see how safe the investigational drug known as LY3009120 is and whether it will work to help people with advanced cancer or cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.
The primary objective was to evaluate the effect of blinatumomab on overall survival when compared to standard of care (SOC) chemotherapy.
The purpose of this Clinical investigation is to assess the impact of the Multi Point Pacing (MPP) feature at 12 months in the treatment of patients not responding to standard Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) after 6 months.
This is a 26-week, randomized extension of the Phase 3 double-blind placebo-controlled studies, EVP-6124-024 and EVP-6124-025. In this extension study, subjects who complete study EVP-6124-024 or EVP-6124-025 and fulfill all entry criteria will be randomized to receive EVP-6124 for an additional 26 weeks.
The purpose of this study is to collect patient related benefit data following treatment for permanent hearing loss with a hearing implant from the company Cochlear over a period of 2 years post treatment. Assessment of benefits is based on standard questionnaires of hearing ability and quality of life in general.
The purpose of the this international, multicenter, randomised, single-blind, parallel group, Phase III study is to demonstrate that a single transrectal ultrasound (TRUS)-guided intraprostatic injection of NX-1207 provides a long lasting therapeutic improvement of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) associated with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) in patients not adequately controlled by medical therapy with α-blockers, as assessed by a change from baseline in the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) total score.
This randomized, multicenter, open-label study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of DNIB0600A (RO5541081) in comparison with PLD in participants with PROC, primary peritoneal cancer or fallopian tube cancer. Participants will be randomized to receive either DNIB0600A 2.4 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) intravenously (IV) every 3 weeks or PLD 40 milligrams per meter-squared (mg/m^2) IV every 4 weeks.
We study if the administration of intralesional Adalimumab (directly injected in the stricture) associated to endoscopic dilatation has a higher success rate at week 8 compared with placebo in patients with Crohn's disease who had confirmed intestinal stenosis (3 stenosis as maximum)
This project aims to determine whether biopsy using radiofrequency is a procedure suitable for this patient selection. Findings from biopsy will be correlated with the conventional surgery ones. If the technique is validated to predict the presence or absence of residual tumor, breast surgery could be avoided in cases of absence of tumor.
