Cross-Over Study in Subjects With COPD, Evaluating Lung Function Response After Treatment With Once Daily Umeclidinium 62.5mcg, Vilanterol 25mcg, and Umeclidinium/Vilanterol 62.5/25mcg

Start date: October 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the lung function response to UMEC/VI, UMEC, and VI in individual patients using a cross-over design. This is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, 3-way crossover study. Eligible subjects will be randomized to a sequence of UMEC 62.5mcg, VI 25mcg, and UMEC/VI 62.5/25mcg. All subjects will receive each treatment once-daily for 14 days, and each treatment will be separated by a 10-14 day washout period. There will be a 5-7 day run-in period prior to randomization.

NCT ID: NCT01715818 Completed - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes Mellitus Type 2

A Study on The Potential of Aleglitazar to Reduce Cardiovascular Risk in Patients With Stable Cardiovascular Disease and Glucose Abnormalities

Start date: December 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group, multicenter study will evaluate the potential of aleglitazar to reduce cardiovascular risk in patients with stable cardiovascular disease and glucose abnormalities. Patients will be randomized 1:1 to receive either aleglitazar 150 mcg orally daily or matching placebo.

NCT ID: NCT01712789 Completed - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Evaluation of Safety of Pomalidomide in Combination With Dexamethasone (Low Dose) in Patients With Refractory or Relapsed and Refractory Multiple Myeloma

STRATUS
Start date: November 6, 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy and to generate PK and biomarker data for the combination of pomalidomide and low-dose dexamethasone in patients with refractory or relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma. The study consists of a Screening phase within 28 days prior to cycle 1 day 1, a Treatment phase and a Follow-up phase which starts within 28 days of discontinuation from study treatment, every 3 months for up to 5 years. In addition, the collection of steady-state PK data from a large population will enable robust population PK and assess Pomalidomide exposure response analyses. The exploratory objectives of the study are to investigate potential markers predictive of POM response or resistance and pharmacodynamic markers.

NCT ID: NCT01712399 Terminated - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

A Long Term Safety Study of Mavrilimumab in Adult Subjects With Rheumatoid Arthritis

Start date: January 28, 2013
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A clinical study to investigate the safety of mavrilimumab, an antibody being developed for the treatment of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, an inflammatory condition that affects the joints.

NCT ID: NCT01707992 Completed - Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Trials

The Efficacy, Safety, and Tolerability of Laquinimod in Participants With Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS)

CONCERTO
Start date: February 20, 2013
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a multinational, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, placebo-controlled study followed by active treatment, to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of two doses of oral administration of laquinimod in participants with RRMS. The study has 2 periods: Period 1, the double-blind, placebo-controlled period (up to 24 months) and Period 2, the active treatment period (24 months).

NCT ID: NCT01706926 Completed - Clinical trials for Rheumatoid Arthritis

A Study of Mavrilimumab in Subjects With Moderate-to-Severe Rheumatoid Arthritis

Start date: August 2012
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to see if mavrilimumab can provide benefit to subjects with rheumatoid arthritis.

NCT ID: NCT01705977 Completed - Clinical trials for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Belimumab Assessment of Safety in SLE

BASE
Start date: November 27, 2012
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to further enhance the existing knowledge regarding the side effects of belimumab when given with other lupus medicines to adults with active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). This study mainly focuses on collecting information on serious events that are not that common or may only be seen with long-term treatment. These events include death, serious infections and other infections of interest, cancers, serious mental health problems, including depression and suicide, and serious infusion and hypersensitivity reactions. This study is being done to help understand if treatment with belimumab increases the risk for these types of events. This study will also see if patients receiving belimumab with other lupus medicines can reduce their use of steroids, such as prednisone, over 1 year.

NCT ID: NCT01702571 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study of Trastuzumab Emtansine in Participants With Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2)-Positive Breast Cancer Who Have Received Prior Anti-HER2 And Chemotherapy-based Treatment
