There are about 11304 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Denmark. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Prospective cohort study of factors predisposing to persistent post surgical pain after video-assisted thoracic surgery
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of platelet infusion prior to transfer to a vascular surgical department in patients with a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurism.
The purpose of the Multi-National Gilenya Pregnancy Exposure Registry in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is to continuously monitor, evaluate, and assess for major and minor teratogenic effects in the offspring of women exposed to fingolimod before (up to 8 weeks before last menstrual period (LMP)) and during pregnancy in routine clinical practice. The overall aim is to collect and evaluate data on maternal, fetal, and infant outcomes and compare it with reference populations.
The purpose of the study is to describe and characterize CML in a large pediatric cohort of patients.
Patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty may experience severe postoperative pain. This is normally treated with opioids, which can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, obstipation and sedation. The hypothesis is that patients receiving peripheral nerve blockade of three nerves leading pain stimuli from the hip will experience less pain, will consume less opioid and therefore have less side effects, and will be mobilized more quickly than patients not receiving the peripheral nerve blockade.
Asparaginase is an important drug i the treatment of childhood leukaemia. The aim of this project is to study the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and antibody development and hypersensitivity reactions during prolonged PEG-asparaginase treatment. Study part 1) Asparaginase pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics during prolonged PEG-asparaginase treatment: A NOPHO ALL-2008 study Study part 2) Asparagine depletion in cerebrospinal fluid: A NOPHO ALL-2008 study Study part 3) A characterization of PEG-asparaginase hypersensitivity in children treated according to the NOPHO ALL 2008 protocol Perspectives: New knowledge about PEG-asparaginase treatment regarding dosing, dosing interval, adverse effects and EFS, which may lead to improved future therapy Patients: Children diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in the Nordic Countries
The purpose of this study is to investigate the frequency and severity of chronic pelvic pain (CPP) in adult women living in Copenhagen Country and Zealand Country (total population 2,4 million), Denmark, in relation to selected factors, such as basic demographic and clinical factors, health related quality of life, physical activity and abnormal muscular findings in the pelvic area.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether individualised nutritional therapy comprised of appetising, energy- and protein-rich foods can have a positive effect on physiological function and quality of life of undernourished patients as compared to usual nutrition care.
Hypothesis and objectives of the study Systematic preparation of rehabilitation plan for rehabilitation in Phase III based on identification of self-care behavior patients with heart failure in NYHA class II and III, leading to patients' self-care behaviors strengthened, which will result in increased health status and ADL level 6 months after discharge from hospital with heart failure . Target 1. To develop evidence-based clinical guidelines for patient rehabilitation phase III 2. To test the effect of individual rehabilitation plans based on clinical guidelines for patient rehabilitation in Phase III. Efficacy evaluated in relation to changes in self-care behaviors, health status and ADL function. Material and Methods: Controlled longitudinal study. Each intervention patient receives before the end of hospital rehabilitation designed a specific rehabilitation plan also contacted the patient by specially trained nurse telephone 4 and 12 weeks after completion of their rehabilitation in hospital and the patient has the opportunity to contact the department when needed. The effect of rehabilitation assessed by sending questionnaires SF 36 and EHFScB Scale 9, to assess patients' ADL functioning, self-care behaviors and self-rated health. All patients participating in the planned rehabilitation in hospitals, so that the baseline is the end of Phase II. Intervention based on an analysis of the individual's need for continued rehabilitation (self care behavior, health status, ADL function) and the patient's perception of own situation. Draw up a plan and program together with the patient
The primary outcome of this study is to investigate the accuracy of respiration gated laser guided CT lung nodule biopsy through a prospective randomized trial using a bellows-based breath hold monitoring system. Secondary outcome is the rate of complications using laser guided CT biopsy in general and with bellows-based breath hold monitoring system. The study has approval from the The Danish National Committee on Biomedical Research Ethics (ref no: H-4-2010-fsp 1).
