There are about 25560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Germany. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to assess long-term safety of avacincaptad pegol intravitreal administration for patients with geographic atrophy (GA) who completed Study ISEE2008 (GATHER2) through the Month 24 visit on study treatment (either avacincaptad pegol or Sham).
Dementia Care Management (DeCM) is an evidence-based model of care in Germany. It has proven its efficacy and cost-effectiveness. However it has not been implemented into routine care so far. The aim of this trial is to implement Dementia Care Management into routine care in a selected region in Germany and evaluate the process of implementation as well as the effect of Dementia Care Management on participants. Recruited in regular routine care n=60 people with cognitive impairment and/ or their cares will receive Dementia Care Management provided by specifically trained and qualified dementia care managers for 6 months. Data will be assessed and analysed prior to the implementation, immediately after having received the intervention and at a later time point. The effect of the intervention on person-oriented health care outcomes wil be analysed as well as factors associated with that.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, including clinical remission of guselkumab subcutaneous (SC) induction compared to placebo in participants with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC).
The study aims to investigate the transcriptomic and metabolomic changes in blood, plasma and isolated monocytes from Gaucher patients and healthy controls.
Vifor International Inc. is seeking real-world evidence (RWE) to better understand the epidemiology, patient characteristics, and management of CKD-aP in the real-world clinical setting.
Cancer is a condition where cells in a specific part of body grow and reproduce uncontrollably. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a solid tumor, a disease in which cancer cells form in the tissues of the lung. The purpose of this study is to determine how telisotuzumab vedotin affects the disease state in adult participants with previously untreated participants with MET amplified non-squamous NSCLC. Change in disease activity will be assessed. Telisotuzumab vedotin is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of MET amplified non-squamous NSCLC. Participants receive intravenously (IV) infused of telisotuzumab vedotin. Approximately 70 adult participants with previously untreated MET amplified locally advanced/metastatic non-squamous NSCLC will be enrolled in the study in approximately 110 sites worldwide. Participants will receive IV telisotuzumab vedotin every 2 weeks until meeting study drug discontinuation criteria. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.
Burst suppression describes a specific EEG pattern that can generally indicate a too deep general anesthesia. The pathophysiology of anesthetic-induced Burst Suppression may be distinctly different from the pathophysiology of Burst Suppression from other medical causes (e.g., coma, hypothermia, intoxication). Definition criteria of neurologic societies cannot be applied to the classification of Burst Suppression during general anesthesia without adaptation. The lack of a clear definition complicates structured research on anesthetic-induced Burst Suppression EEG in the perioperative setting because of subjective bias. Therefore, a unified agreement on what anesthesia-induced Burst Suppression looks like is crucial to conduct the best possible research. The aim of this study is to formulate the basis for a clear definition of burst suppression EEG that may help to truly understand the significance of this EEG pattern and its relationship to proposed postoperative outcomes such as postoperative delirium, longterm postoperative neurocognitive disorders (PNDs) or increased mortality.
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a skin condition that may cause a rash and itching due to inflammation of the skin. Therapies spread over the skin may not be enough to control the AD in trial participants who require systemic anti-inflammatory treatment. This study evaluates the dosing flexibility of upadacitinib in adult participants with moderate to severe AD. Adverse events and change in the disease activity will be assessed. Upadacitinib is an approved drug for the treatment of moderate to severe/active immune-mediated inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, ulcerative colitis (UC), Crohn's Disease (CD), and AD. The study is comprised of a 35-day Screening Period, a 12-week double-blind period and a 12-week single-blind period. During the double-blind period, participants are placed in 1 of 2 groups, called treatment arms and will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to receive upadacitinib. At 12 weeks during the single blind period, participants will be blinded to the upadacitinib dose based on their EASI response and reassigned to in 1 of 4 arms. After the last study visit, there is a 30-day follow-up visit. Approximately 454 adult participants ages 18 to 64 with moderate to severe AD who are candidates for systemic therapy will be enrolled at up to 160 sites worldwide. The study is comprised of a 12-week double-blind period, followed by a 12-week single-blind period. Participants will receive upadacitinib oral tablets once daily for up to 24 weeks. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care (due to study procedures). Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a hospital or clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.
The study is an open-label, single arm, multicenter phase II trial investigating the clinical activity of a perioperative therapy consisting of a combination of pembrolizumab, trastuzumab and FLOT, followed by pembrolizumab plus trastuzumab alone for a maximum systemic treatment duration of one year in patients with Her-2 positive localized esophagogastric adenocarcinoma.
The investigators designed a prospective, 2-armed, cluster-randomized multicenter clinical trial on the effect of a by a digital application triggered intervention on quality of life and therapy-adherence among breast cancer patients, compared to standard of care.
