There are about 36818 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in China. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), with its core symptoms of communication and repetitive behaviors, is a serious neurodevelopmental disorder common in childhood and affects about 1% of children. So far, autism remains a clinical dilemma with no effective therapy. The most common chromsomal ability among ASD patients is 15q11-13q duplication syndrome(dup15q syndrome).Clinical phenotypes of dup15q syndrome include autism, mental retardation, epilepsy (usually refractory epilepsy, often manifested as infantile spasm), congenital heart disease, mild facial abnormalities, etc. UBE3A is one of the most important genes in the 15q11-q13 region.Biochemistry and molecular biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Hu Ronggui group found a new kind of autism in mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets - describe the ubiquitin ligase UBE3A protein and retinoic acid.Previous studies have shown that the basis of the relevant treatment measures can effectively relieve the mouse model of autism characteristics. Therefore, retinoic acid supplementation in the treatment of dup15q syndrome is a potential therapeutic target.
The application of artificial intelligence in image recognition of cervical lesions diagnosis has become a research hotspot in recent years. The analysis and interpretation of colposcopy images play an important role in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cervical precancerous lesions and cervical cancer. At present, the accuracy of colposcopy detection is still affected by many factors. The research on the diagnosis system of cervical lesions based on multimodal deep learning of colposcopy images is a new and significant research topic. Based on the large database of cervical lesions diagnosis images and non-images, the research group established a multi-source heterogeneous cervical lesion diagnosis big data platform of non-image and image data. Research the lesions segmentation and classification model of colposcopy image based on convolutional neural network, explore the relevant medical data fusion network model that affects the diagnosis of cervical lesions, and realize a multi-modal self-learning artificial intelligence cervical lesion diagnosis system based on colposcopy images. The application efficiency of the artificial intelligence system in the real world was explored through the cohort, and the intelligent teaching model and method of cervical lesion diagnosis were further established based on the above intelligent system.
Ischemic stroke is the most common type of stroke, accounting for 60%-80% of all types of strokes, and is one of the leading global causes of death and severe disability. In the risk factors of stroke, carotid atherosclerosis have higher incidence. As the only visible microvessels in vivo, retinal can provides an accurate window into cerebrovascular and systemic vascular conditions. Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) and electroretinogram (ERG) can be used to quantitatively analyze the retinal structure and function in patients with ischemic stroke, and find out the valuable parameters. Electroencephalogram(EEG) can collect the electrical activity of cerebral cortex in patients with ischemic stroke and find the correlation between EEG and ERG. Finally, it is of great significance to establish a non-invasive, more objective, convenient and safe risk prediction model for stroke in combination with carotid atherosclerosis, retinal structural and functional parameters and EEG.
Acute pancreatitis is a complex gastrointestinal disease with a variable course that is often difficult to predict early in its development. The majority of cases are mild, self-limited, and follow an uncomplicated course. However, 10-20% of cases can be associated with pancreatic or peripancreatic fluid collections, or both. Infected necrosis complicates 10% of all acute pancreatitis episodes and is associated with a mortality of 15-20%. Current guidelines for necrotizing pancreatitis recommend to postpone drainage until 4 or more weeks after initial presentation to allow collections to "walled-off". However, evidence of infection with clinical deterioration despite maximum support may mandate earlier intervention. It is unclear whether such delay is needed for drainage or whether earlier endoscopic intervention could actually be beneficial in the current approach. The aims of this randomized, controlled, multicenter study is to evaluate whether early endoscopic drainage in patients with peripancreatic fluid collection is superior to postponed intervention in the current practice.
Granulomatous lobular mastitis (GLM) is a rare, chronic benign inflammatory disease of the breast, of unknown etiology. Pathologically, GLM typically manifests as non-caseating granulomatous lesions with leukomonocytes, lymphocytes, neutrophils and multinucleated giant cells, located in the center of breast lobules. With a rapidly increasing morbidity in the last two decades, GLM tends to occur in child-bearing women with a prolonged and recurrent course. Intralesional injection and topical corticosteroids can effectively reduce the side effects, especially in patients suffering from concomitant skin lesions (e.g., fistula, skin erosions, ulcers). For patients with diffuse disease, recurrence, or ineffective conservative treatment, wide local excision can be applied.
Randomized, open-label, multicenter study to compare the efficacy and safety of combination of iguratimod and danazol versus danazol for the treatment of adults with steroid-resistant/ relapse immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).
The purpose of this trial is to evaluate efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab plus standard of care (SOC) chemotherapy with cisplatin and paclitaxel as neoadjuvant treatment in participants with locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), and to explore treatment resistance mechanisms.
Checkpoint inhibitor-related pneumonitis (CIP)is a common fatal immune-related adverse event of PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors. Some CIP patients have poor effect on hormone therapy, and the remission time of CIP varies greatly. Antifibrotic drugs may be effective in patients with CIP.
Postoperative delirium is a common complication in clinical surgery. It has been reported that it can increase postoperative morbidity and mortality and lead to decreased functional and cognitive abilities. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of ultrasound-guided bilateral rectus sheath blocks (RSB) on postoperative delirium in elderly patients undergoing laparoendoscopic single-site surgery (LESS) A double-blind, randomized controlled trial was conducted with 320 patients, aged 65-80 years, ASA I-III, who were scheduled to undergoing LESS in our hospital were selected, the patients divided into Group R and Group G by random number table method, with 160 patients in each group. Group R was subjected to a bilateral RSB under ultrasound guidance after general anesthesia, each side was given 0.5% ropivacaine 10 ml. Group G received simple general anesthesia. The mini-mental State Examination was used to assess all the patients' primary cognitive status one day before surgery. Perioperative variables were recorded to be compared. The investigators used the visual analog scale to assess patients' pain degree with postoperative, using confusion assessment method to assess whether patients experienced delirium.
This is an 18-month, multicenter, randomized, active-control, parallel-group Phase 3 study, in which participants will be randomized to venglustat versus standard of care therapy (agalsidase alfa, agalsidase beta, or migalastat) to evaluate the effect of venglustat on left ventricular mass index (LVMI) in adult participants with Fabry disease and left ventricular hypertrophy. - Study visits will take place approximately every 3 to 6 months - Participants who complete the randomized period may continue to the long-term extension (LTE) to receive venglustat for up to additional 34 months with the total study duration up to 4.4 years maximum.
