There are about 36818 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in China. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Hereditary cerebellar ataxia is a type of autosomal dominant genetic disease, lesions mainly involving the cerebellum, but the spinal cord and cranial nerves may also be some involvement. A total of 20 molecularly diagnosed SCA1 patients divided in two groups. One group accepted for the treatment of stem cell transplantation, the other group will be the control. Purpose of this project to prove that allogeneic umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells are applied to clinical safely, and in the treatment of hereditary cerebellar ataxia is valid.
Orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) is currently the most effective method for end-stage liver diseases. However, the critical shortage of donor organs, high cost, and the problem of immune rejection limit its clinical application, and even some patients on the waiting list will never survive to receive a matched liver. Stem cell transplantation instead of conventional medical therapy or orthotopic liver transplantation will be a promising alternate approach to regenerate damaged hepatic mass. Adult mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are generally thought of as an autologous source of regenerative cells in previous studies. In this study, the safety and efficacy of menstrual blood-derived stem cells transplantation for patients with liver cirrhosis will be evaluated.
Our goals are to demonstrate an active leukotrienes (LTs) mediated inflammatory response is involved in pathophysiology of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB), and to provide a theoretical evidence for LTs modify therapy in treating pediatric patients with SDB. The investigators have hypothesized that the pathophysiology of pediatric SDB involves specific systemic and local upper airway inflammatory response mediated by LTs. 1. LT concentration assays reveal higher levels in serum for both leukotriene B4 (LTB4) and cysteinyl leukotrienes (CysLTs) and in morning urine for LTE4 of SDB children, in comparison to healthy ones, and LTs productions emerge disease severity-dependent increases. There is a positive correlation between LTs production and other systemic markers such as neutrophil counts and high sensitive C-reactive protein (hsCRP). 2. Children with SDB have higher leukotriene receptor-1 (LT1-R) and leukotriene receptor-2 (LT2-R) expressions in adenotonsillar tissues of SDB children compared to recurrent infectious tonsillitis subjects. 3. Levels of LTs are positively correlated with body mass index (BMI) z-score, waist height ratio (WHtR), adenotonsillar size and polysomnography (PSG) indices including apnea-hypopnea index (AHI), obstructive apnea index (OAI), oxygen desaturation index (ODI), arousal index, percentage of time spend saturation lower than 90% (SLT90%) and negatively correlated with mean and minimal pulse oximetric saturation (SpO2), which indicates synergistic role of obesity and hypoxia are the determinants of LTs production in SDB. 4. In adenotonsillar mixed cell culture system, the addition of LTs can increase cellular proliferation rates and exhibit dose-dependent responses, whereas leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRAs) elicit dose-dependent cellular reductions.
The purpose of this study is to verify the effectiveness and safety of medical ozone therapy system in treatment of chronic hepatitis B.
Current therapies targeting albuminuria in diabetic nephropathy leave residual urinary albumin secretion, which meanwhile leave residual cardiovascular risk. Previous studies demonstrated that sulodexide could reduce albuminuria in type 2 diabetic patients. But no data concerning Chinese population is available. The investigators aim to provide evidence of effects of sulodexide on diabetic nephropathy in Chinese diabetic patients. Further the investigators also test the hypothesis that sequential administration of intravenous and oral replacement of the drug would gain an earlier and greater reduction of albuminuria, compared with oral use only.
The pathophysiologic basis of hemifacial spasm is cross-transmission between different branches of the facial nerve. The hypothesis is that the cross-transmission is mediated by the sympathetic nerve fibers on the surface of the offending artery. The abnormal potential from the offending vessel to the facial muscles will be detected on hemifacial spasm patients, so as to determine if the sympathetic nerve fibers take part in the circuit of cross-transmission.
Double-balloon endoscopy (DBE) is a new device that allows diagnosis and treatment throughout the entire small intestine. Although the originally described method requires two operators, the investigators have recently developed a method to perform DBE by a single operator. The investigators here assessed the clinical usefulness of this one-person method in comparison to the conventional two-person DBE.
Double-balloon enteroscopy (DBE) is now an established method for diagnostic and therapeutic small-bowel endoscopy. Single-balloon enteroscopy (SBE) has been introduced to simplify the technique. A prospective randomized study was carried out to compare the two methods in obscure small bowel bleeding
The purpose of this trial is to find out the appropriate way to treat DM patients with critical limb ischemia. This trial includes two parts. Part I focuses on the treatment of femoral arterial lesion and part II focuses on the treatment of below-knee arterial lesion.
