NCT ID: NCT03399851 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Left Atrial Appendage Closure

Comparison of Amplatzer Amulet and Watchman Device in Patients Undergoing Left Atrial Appendage Closure. (SWISS-APERO)

SWISS-APERO
Start date: June 19, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Left atrial appendage closure (LAAC) is an emerging therapeutic option in non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) patients with high thromboembolic and bleeding risks. In Europe the devices most frequently utilized for LAAC are Amplatzer Amulet (St. Jude Medical-Abbott) and Watchman (Boston Scientific) system. However there are currently no randomized controlled trials assessing the degree of LAA closure between the two devices. The main purpose of this trial is to evaluate the feasibility and the efficacy of the devices in terms of LAA complete occlusion with a non-invasive imaging technique such as cardiac computed tomography angiography (CCTA).

NCT ID: NCT03398135 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Ulcerative Colitis (UC)

A Study to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of Risankizumab in Participants With Ulcerative Colitis

Start date: August 28, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate safety and efficacy of risankizumab in participants with ulcerative colitis (UC) in participants who responded to induction treatment with risankizumab in a prior AbbVie study of risankizumab in UC. This study consists of three sub-studies and a Continuous Treatment Extension (CTE): Substudy 1 is a 52-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled maintenance study; Substudy 2 is 52-week, randomized, exploratory maintenance study; and Substudy 3 is an open-label long-term extension study for participants who completed Substudy 1 or 2, or participants who responded to induction treatment in Study M16-067 with no final endoscopy due to the Covid-19 pandemic or due to the geopolitical conflict in Ukraine and surrounding impacted regions. The CTE is an open-label extension for Substudy 3 completers to ensure continuous treatment with risankizumab until such time that risankizumab becomes commercially available and/or the subject can access treatment locally or can transition to a Continued Treatment for Trial Participants Open-Label Extension study.

NCT ID: NCT03395522 Active, not recruiting - BPH Clinical Trials

Study to Assess the Efficacy of the iTind in Subjects With Symptomatic BPH

MT-06
Start date: February 18, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A total of up to 200 Symptomatic BPH subjects subjects will be enrolled into the study. Study duration will be 12 months post implantation with a follow-up visits at Year 2 and Year 3.

NCT ID: NCT03394612 Active, not recruiting - Skin Wound Clinical Trials

Study With an Autologous Dermo-epidermal Skin Substitute for the Treatment of Full-Thickness Skin Defects in Adults and Children

Start date: February 14, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of EHSG-KF (synonym denovoSkin) in comparison to meshed STSG in adults and children with full-thickness Skin defects.

NCT ID: NCT03391466 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Relapsed/Refractory Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL)

Study of Effectiveness of Axicabtagene Ciloleucel Compared to Standard of Care Therapy in Patients With Relapsed/Refractory Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma

ZUMA-7
Start date: January 25, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical study is to assess whether axicabtagene ciloleucel therapy improves the clinical outcome compared with standard of care second-line therapy in patients with relapsed/refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).

NCT ID: NCT03384602 Active, not recruiting - Cognitive Decline Clinical Trials

MOVE for Your MIND

Start date: December 14, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Among the most promising interventions targeting both cognitive and functional decline, is Exercise. However, evidence regarding exercise interventions among seniors with cognitive impairment are inconclusive, likely due to challenges of recruitment and adherence. Alternatively, seniors with subjective cognitive decline (SCD), who are not yet meeting objective criteria of cognitive impairment, but have been shown to have twice the conversion rate to dementia compared with healthy seniors, are more likely to be motivated to participate and adhere to exercise interventions. Thus, exercise interventions in seniors with SCD may provide a window of opportunity for early prevention of dementia and falls. The investigators aim to test the effect of a group exercise (multi-task Jaques-Dalcroze Eurhythmics) and a simple home strength exercise program on change of cognitive function and the rate of falling among seniors with SCD.

NCT ID: NCT03377491 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Pancreas Adenocarcinoma

Effect of Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields, 150 kHz) as Front-Line Treatment of Locally-advanced Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma Concomitant With Gemcitabine and Nab-paclitaxel (PANOVA-3)

Start date: February 10, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Brief Summary: The study is a prospective, randomized controlled phase III trial aimed to test the efficacy and safety of Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) in combination with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel, for front line treatment of locally-advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma. The device is an experimental, portable, battery operated device for chronic administration of alternating electric fields (termed TTFields or TTF) to the region of the malignant tumor, by means of surface, insulated electrode arrays.

NCT ID: NCT03367702 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Stage II Prostate Adenocarcinoma

Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy or Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage IIA-B Prostate Cancer

Start date: November 16, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This randomized phase III trial studies how well stereotactic body radiation therapy works compared to intensity-modulated radiation therapy in treating patients with stage IIA-B prostate cancer. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Stereotactic body radiation therapy is a specialized radiation therapy that sends x-rays directly to the tumor using smaller doses over several days and may cause less damage to normal tissue. Stereotactic body radiation therapy may work better in treating patients with prostate cancer.
