There are about 9403 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Switzerland. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Comparison of water-perfused (WP) and air-charged (AC) catheters for invasive urodynamic investigation (UDI) regarding consistency, features and artifacts.
Primary Objective: To evaluate the effect of dupilumab on sleep quality in adult participants with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (AD). Secondary Objectives: To evaluate the effect of dupilumab on objective and subjective quantitative sleep parameters, AD related outcomes, and daytime consequences of sleep deprivation. To continue to assess the safety and tolerability throughout the study.
This study will follow a randomised, double-blind, cross-over design. Participants will use mouth rinses containing plant extracts and/or fluoride, as well as a mouth rinse containing only water (placebo). They will use oral appliances containing sterilized enamel and dentine slabs, which will be later collected for analyses. The cross-over design will allow participants to use all rinses, allowing for a comparison between the rinses within each individual.
Lower extremity (LE) function of patients with a spinal cord injury (SCI) will be assessed in an observational project with a cross-sectional and a longitudinal study design. The main goal is to identify kinematic and kinetic parameters to precisely characterize LE function and in parallel the impairment and limitation in SCI patients throughout rehabilitation in acute patients and in chronic patients to define LE function and LE recovery.
The primary objective of this study is to confirm the safety and clinical effectiveness of the Genio™ system, used according to its instructions for use, in moderate to severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) adult patients over a period of 3 years post-surgery.
This prospective monocentric study project is to identify hemoglobinopathies in pregnant women in order to optimize antenatal care and to investigate the prevalence of hemoglobinopathies in pregnant women in Switzerland.
This study is to assess socio-economic factors, clinical and virtual precision, patient-centered outcomes, and esthetics during the treatment with monolithic multi-unit iFDPs in a complete digital workflow
The anterior tilting of the proximal tibia epiphyseal plate is a radiological tool for the diagnosis of suspected trampoline fracture. The tibial fracture leads to a ventral tilting of the tibial Plateau. This study is to document the long-term follow-up of the anterior tilt angle and to verify, if there is an uplift of the tibia plateau with correction of the anterior tilt angle to normal values (= remodelling) in order to guarantee optimal treatment of this rare fracture.
A mono-center, randomized controlled trial will be conducted at the University Hospital of Lausanne. Hospitalized patients will be randomly assigned from the emergency department to two sub-units composing the acute care for elders (ACE) unit. In one subunit, potentially inappropriate prescriptions will be detected and treatment optimized according PIM-Check. In the other, STOPP/START criteria will be independently applied.
Prospective trial in gender dysphoric patients who undergo gender-affirming hormone therapy, aiming to investigate psychological, biological and behavioural consequences of hormonal therapy.
