There are about 28871 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Canada. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
A study of a drug to be used in addition with another drug to treat adults with Uncontrolled Partial-onset Seizures
The iPeer2Peer program matches teens with arthritis to an older mentor who has learned to manage their arthritis well and can support them emotionally and socially. This study will compare two groups of teens: those who are in the iPeer2Peer Program and those in the control group (no mentor).
The purpose of this study is to determine the incidence of post-operative venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients undergoing major esophageal resection for malignancy.
Comparing two treatments for shivering after cesarean delivery for labor dystocia under epidural anesthesia.
This is a 1-year national prospective cohort study that observes the medical management of consented deceased organ donors at hospitals across Canada with a high volume of deceased donation.
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of administering repeated doses of Hyaluronic Acid Inhalation Solution to subjects with Emphysema that have Alpha-1-Antitrypsin deficiency
This is a Phase 3 study to assess the safety and efficacy of Tadekinig alfa in patients with monogenic, interleukin-18 (IL 18) driven autoinflammation due to Nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain, leucine-rich repeat and caspase recruiting domain (CARD domain) containing 4 (NLRC4) - Macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) mutation (NLRC4-MAS mutation) or X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis (XIAP) deficiency. Because of the likelihood for pathogenic IL-18 in certain monogenic diseases, patients known to harbor deleterious mutations in NLRC4-MAS or XIAP and who have a history of ongoing inflammation will be enrolled if they have ferritin ≥ 500 ng/mL or persistent C reactive protein (CRP) elevation ≥ 2 times the upper limit of normal (ULN) and the patients should have a Modified Autoinflammatory Disease Activity Index (mAIDAI) ≥ 4.
We will demonstrate the validity of measurements with a low-dose, EKG-gated CT without contrast in the ascending aorta evaluation, compared with the current Angio-CT measurements.
This international, multi-center, double-blind, randomized, controlled clinical trial aims to evaluate the efficacy of Phantom Motor Execution (PME) and Phantom Motor Imagery (PMI) as treatments of Phantom Limb Pain (PLP). In PME, myoelectric pattern recognition (MPR) is used to predict motor volition and then use the decoded movements to control virtual and augmented reality environments (VR/AR), along with serious gaming (SG). The same device and VR/AR environments are used in PMI with the difference that subjects will imagine rather than execute phantom movements. Electromyography is used to monitor for no muscular activity in PMI.
The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of ruxolitinib against best available therapy in participants with steroid-refractory chronic graft-versus-host disease (SR cGvHD).
