There are about 28871 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Canada. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
This study aims to generate data that conveys participant's experiences such as their overall satisfaction with the CoolSculpting® treatment for their belly and love handles. By doing this, the study will provide insights for doctors to better inform participants about the expected outcomes.
This study evaluates the use of a mobile-app delivered mindfulness-based intervention for supporting psychosocial resilience in aging patients undergoing rehabilitation treatment. Half of the patients will receive the mobile-app, while the other half will receive the app 6 months later.
•The Pilot study will involve current Marquette Method users who own and use a ClearBlue Fertility monitor and who will be asked to simultaneously use the Mira monitor for the sake of comparing the two devices to monitor the menstrual cycle.
This study compares aerobic exercise training performed before breakfast (i.e., in the fasted state) to similar training performed after breakfast in people with type 2 diabetes. Training will take place over 16 weeks.
Summary for SCGAM-03: Clinical phase III study to monitor the safety, tolerability and efficacy of subcutaneous human immunoglobulin (Octanorm) in patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases who have completed the SCGAM-01 trial. Summary for SCGAM-03 in Canada: Clinical phase III study to monitor the safety, tolerability and efficacy of subcutaneous human immunoglobulin (octanorm) in patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases, including (but not limited to) those who have completed the SCGAM-01 trial
It has been observed that patients on total parenteral nutrition (TPN) have high plasma chromium level. There is reason to believe that TPN solutions contain chromium and possibly other trace elements as contaminants. Chromium in particular can lead to kidney damage. The purpose of this research are 1). to collect discarded TPN samples from patients on TPN for analysis and compare analyzed concnetrations of trace elements to prescribed concentrations. 2) analyze small volume parenterals obtained from a TPN supplier for evaluation of trace elements contcentrations to be compared with what is reported on the label. 3) retrospectively collect blood levels of chromium from charts of patients on home TPN who consented to have their TPN samples analyzed (#1 above), as well as prescribed Cr in their TPN at the time blood levels are recorded.
This study will evaluate safety, efficacy, pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of multiple doses of CFZ533 (iscalimab) in patients with Sjögren's Syndrome.
The investigators will define the most appropriate safe dose of D50 to heal air leaks in patients that have undergone lung resection surgery
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the investigational treatment (maralixibat) is safe and effective in pediatric participants with Progressive Familial Intrahepatic Cholestasis (PFIC).
The purpose of the study is to evaluate whether the administration of a full tobramycin dose (5 mg/kg) during the first 30 minutes of a hemodialysis session provides favorable pharmacokinetic parameters in subjects with end-stage renal disease who are suspected or has been diagnosed with Gram-negative rod-type infection. It is anticipated that the administration of a single 5 mg/kg dose of tobramycin during the first 30 minutes of a hemodialysis session will achieve an optimal ratio of maximum tobramycin concentration to minimal inhibitory concentration (Cmax/CMI) of 8 to 10 while limiting the accumulation (trough < 2 mg/L before the next hemodialysis session) in end-stage renal disease subjects requiring intermittent hemodialysis sessions.
