There are about 10004 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Brazil. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
INTRODUCTION: Cervical pain is a very common clinical condition in the world population, and can affect 70% of people at some point in life. Many of these conditions arise from musculoskeletal disorders, which may be caused by myofascial dysfunctions. Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) may be an important therapeutic tool as a means of treatment under these conditions. PURPOSE: To verify the effect of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) on pain, disability and range of motion (ROM) in individuals with non-specific chronic neck pain. DESIGN: Randomized Clinical Trial. METHODS: The sample will consist of 46 volunteers with non-specific chronic neck pain of both sexes, aged between 18 and 60 years, who presented pain for at least 12 weeks, without irradiation to the upper limbs distally to the shoulders. Of these, those that are not excluded, will be allocated randomly in one of the two groups present: Experimental Group (GE) - IASTM in the neck and Control Group (CG) - Manual myofascial release in the neck region. A blinded evaluator will be assigned to conduct the evaluation process for both groups. DESPECTS: The outcomes will be neck pain, neck disability and range of motion of the neck.
The GLORIA study is a Phase III, randomized, open-label study to prospectively evaluate the efficacy and safety of adagloxad simolenin (OBI 822)/OBI-821 in the adjuvant treatment of patients with high risk, early stage Globo-H Positive TNBC.
The aims of the study are to perform psychological intervention using EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) in the preoperative period, evaluate the personality of each patient through the PFB test (Personality Factor Battery Test) at different times, compare the results obtained in the PFB test at different times of application and verify the existence of changes in the five major Personality Factors: Neuroticism, Extroversion, Socialization, Realization and Openness.
The present study has the objective of evaluating whether the previous therapy with low intensity laser, through its analgesic effect, can promote a greater comfort specifically for patient with pulpitis in mandibular molars. 75 patients with pain from mandibular molar pulpitis will be selected for this study (randomized and double blind) and divided into 3 groups (n = 25): Group 1 - Pulse Laser (880nm, 30mW, 3,6J / cm², 25Hz) ; Group 2 - Continuous Laser (880nm; 30mW; 3.6J / cm²); Group 3 - Placebo. The efficacy of the laser will be assessed using the VAS scale 10 minutes after the laser application, immediately before the blockade is performed.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of Cipros 20 association in the treatment of dyslipidemia treatment.
Premature newborns (PTNB) often develop bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) which can be related to an inability to maintain differences in tonus patterns (extensor and flexor) between the cervical muscles, upper and lower limbs. Babies who develop BPD remain in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for a prolonged period of time, undergoing a large number of painful procedures. Exposure to pain in premature newborns (PTNB) is one of the most damaging factors in the extrauterine environment, also causing stress, which can also interfere with tonus pattern. Therefore, the aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of hydrotherapy on muscular activity, pain, sleep and wakefulness, stress, physiological conditions and the need for oxygen in PTNB with BPD during hospitalization in the neonatal unit. EXPECTED RESULTS: Hydrotherapy is expected to relieve pain, improve sleep quality and reduce oxygen therapy and ventilatory support in hospitalized PTNB babies with BPD.
Adolescents with cerebral palsy (CP) present important limitations for the performance of daily living activities. The aims of the study is to evaluate the feasibility and effects of an intensive goal training protocol for adolescents with CP. He hypothesize that adolescents submitted to the studied protocol will present improvements in performance and satisfaction of prioritized functional goals.
The aim of this study will be to evaluate if subjects submitted to a white diet counseling during home dental bleaching will present better results than subjects that maintained their usual diets. Forty patients will be divided into two groups and randomly allocated to each group: usual diet (control) or white diet, avoiding dye-containing food and beverages. patients will be assessed through a food frequency questionnaire and color measurement using a spectrophotometer at baseline and six months after bleaching.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of Cipros 10 association in the treatment of Dyslipidemia Treatment
The objective of the present study was to evaluate the MPF and the perception of effort of professional jiu jitsu athletes from carbohydrate intake at different moments. Twelve jiu jitsu athletes participated in the study, being randomly divided into three groups of four participants: Control Group (CG); Experimental group 1 (G1), supplementation immediately before the fight and Experimental group 2 (G2), supplementation 30 minutes before the fight. The FPM measurement was performed with the JAMAR® brand analog hydraulic dynamometer in the pre-fight moments and immediately after the fight. The intensity perception of the effort was verified through the adapted Borg scale after the fight. Regarding the findings on muscle strength, there were different outcomes between the groups analyzed.
