There are about 4010 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Argentina. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether ceftaroline is effective and safe in the treatment of Community-Acquired Pneumonia
A 104-week, randomized, double-blind, parallel group, multi-center Phase IIIb study comparing the effects of treatment with rosuvastatin 40 mg or atorvastatin 80 mg on atherosclerotic disease burden as measured by intravascular ultrasound in patients with coronary artery disease.
Enthuse M1C is a large phase III clinical trial studying the safety and efficacy of ZD4054 (Zibotentan) in combination with docetaxel (Taxotere) in patients with metastatic hormone resistant prostate cancer (HRPC). This clinical trial will test if the Endothelin A Receptor Antagonist ZD4054 (Zibotentan) can further improve survival compared with docetaxel alone. ZD4054 (Zibotentan) is a new type of agent, which is thought to slow tumour growth and spread by blocking Endothelin A receptor activity. This trial will look at the effects of ZD4054 (Zibotentan) in hormone resistant prostate cancer patients with bone metastases compared with docetaxel. All patients participating in this clinical trial will receive docetaxel chemotherapy, which is a commonly used chemotherapy to treat prostate cancer in addition to other existing prostate cancer therapies. Half the patients will receive ZD4054 (Zibotentan), and half the patients will receive placebo in addition to docetaxel and other prostate cancer therapy. By participating in this trial there is a 50% chance that patients will receive an agent that may further slow the progression of the tumour. No patients will be deprived of standard prostate cancer therapy.
The goal of this clinical research study is to compare the long-term outcomes of different surgical methods for the treatment of cervical cancer. The long-term outcome of a total abdominal radical hysterectomy (TARH) will be compared against laparoscopy. In this study, the laparoscopy will be done with or without robotic technology.
This is a phase III, double-blind, randomized, multicenter, and parallel group trial with a duration of 24 weeks, followed by a 120 week Open-label Period. the primary purpose of the study is to demonstrate the efficacy of ofatumumab in reducing clinical signs and symptoms in adult RA patients after a single course of ofatumumab.
This study will assess the safety and efficacy of 5 doses GW642444 in subjects with Chonic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
The purpose of this clinical study is to determine the effectiveness (ability to provide beneficial treatment of the disease) and safety of pralatrexate compared to erlotinib when given to non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients who are current or former cigarette smokers and who have received at least 1 prior treatment with a platinum drug (cisplatin or carboplatin)
The purpose of this study is to find out if 300 mg of BMS-582949 given once daily will be more effective than placebo after 12 weeks of treatment in subjects with rheumatoid arthritis who are also taking methotrexate
Parkinson's disease is a major neurodegenerative disorder in which there is a progressive loss of nigrostriatal dopaminergic neurons. The understanding that PD is a syndrome of dopamine (DA) deficiency led to the introduction in the clinical practice of L-dopa, a precursor of DA that crosses the blood brain barrier, and also to the use of selective inhibitors of MAO B, the major DA metabolising enzyme in man. This is a double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, randomised, multi-centre, multi national, Phase III trial, comparing two doses of safinamide (50 and 100 mg p.o. q.a.m.) versus placebo as add-on therapy to a stable dose of a single dopamine agonist in subjects with early idiopathic Parkinson's Disease. The principal efficacy measure, i.e., change in mean value of UPDRS - Section III total score from baseline to endpoint, was chosen based on regulatory guidance and prior use in other trials in similar populations.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether GSK232802 is safe and effective in reducing the frequency and severity of hot flashes associated with menopause.
