A Retrospective Cohort Study Outcome of Treatment in Asymptomatic Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer

In asymptomatic Stage 4 colorectal cancer, the treatment varies between many hospitals and countries. Some studies found that primary tumor resection had better survival rates and a lower risk of mortality. But many studies found significant benefits in survival in sub groups of the population such as age less than 70 years, WHO performance status <2, no extra-hepatic metastasis, liver tumor burden <50%. However some studies showed no survival benefits in primary tumor resection. So this study will focus on survival, adverse events, complications in primary tumor resection and no primary tumor resection in asymptomatic Stage 4 colorectal cancer.

A Retrospective Non Interventional Study on First Line Treatment for Patients With BRAFV600E Mutant Metastatic Colorectal Cancer (mCRC)

The presence of a BRAFV600E mutation is considered a marker of poor prognosis in patients with mCRC, and findings from clinical trials have largely remained inconclusive regarding the efficacy of first line treatments for BRAF-mutant mCRC patients. In the absence of targeted/specific treatment for BRAF-mutant mCRC, treatment practices can vary based on local practices and guidelines. There is, therefore, an unmet need to document the current practices for first-line treatment of BRAF-mutant mCRC, and their effectiveness and safety in a real-world setting. This real-world, multicenter non-interventional study (NIS) will describe the treatment patterns, effectiveness and safety of current treatment regimens in BRAFV600E mutant mCRC patients in Europe, with the aim to put the clinical study findings of the ongoing Phase 2, single-arm, open label trial (ANCHOR) into context of the current treatment landscape excluding investigational therapies. Additionally, the NIS output may be used to support future health technology assessment submissions and publications.

Two Low Volume Regimens for Colorectal Cancer Screening Colonoscopy

Colorectal cancer is the first neoplasm most commonly diagnosed in both sexes and the second leading cause of cancer death in Spain. Colorectal cancer screening Program in Barcelona was implanted in 2009 and approximately 1,500 colorectal cancer screening colonoscopies are performed annually at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. Adequate colon preparation (anterograde cleansing with laxatives) improves polyp detection, decreases examination time, and complications. There are both low and high volume intestinal regimens with polyethylene glycol (PEG) as the main active ingredient or without it. Hypothesis: Two low volumen regimens, 1L PEG plus ascorbate and magnesium citrate plus picosulphate, at starting doses have the same Adenoma Detection Rate as cleansing solutions in preparation for screening colonoscopy.

Optimising Colorectal Cancer Screening Participation

The aim of this study is to demonstrate the effectiveness of three and four-staged invitation procedures compared to two-staged procedures by combining pre-notifications and reminders. The RCT will be nested into the Danish colorectal cancer screening programme in the Central Denmark Region including men and women aged 50-74 years. Participants will consecutively be randomized into four arms in a 1:1 ratio. Intervention arm 1 will receive a pre-notification approximately ten days prior to intervention, invitation and one reminder (three-staged intervention), Intervention arm 2 will receive invitation, one reminder after 45 days and a second reminder three months after invitation (three-staged invitation procedure), Intervention arm 3 will receive pre-notification, invitation, reminder after 45 days and reminder after three months (four-staged invitation procedure). Finally, the forth arm will be a control group receiving usual care which invitation and one reminder 45 days after invitation (two-staged invitation procedure). Both pre-notifications and reminders are sent using digital mail. The main out-come will be participation within 6 months after invitation.

Back-to-back Endoscopy Versus Single-pass Endoscopy and Chromoendoscopy in IBD Surveillance

The current international guidelines for CRC surveillance in IBD recommend as first choice the use of chromoendoscopy, and as an alternative high-definition white light endoscopy (HDWLE) for optimal dysplasia detection, based on data from clinical trials. However, data on the superiority of CE over HDWLE are not consistent in literature. The investigators hypothesize that the better performance of CE in some clinical trials is the result of the associated longer procedural time and the fact that every colon segment is examined twice. Currently, no studies have been published evaluating the dysplastic yield of back-to back HDWLE compared to HDWLE with a single pass or CE in patients with IBD. In the present study, the investigators aim to compare the yield of dysplasia/CRC between 1) regular HDWLE, 2) HDWLE back-to-back, and 3) CE.

Multitarget Stool FIT-DNA Study for Colorectal Cancer Early Screening in China

The primary objective is to determine the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of the newly developed multitarget FIT-DNA Colorectal Cancer (CRC) screening test (ColoClear) for detecting advanced neoplasia (including colorectal cancer and advanced adenomas) in high risk patients, using colonoscopy as the reference method. The secondary objective is to compare the screening performance of the multitarget FIT-DNA test with commercially available FIT (Fecal Immunochemical Test) assay in detecting advanced neoplasia.

Effectiveness and Safety of the Colonoscopy Assisted by Endocuff vs. Standard in the Colorectal Cancer Screening

The hypothesis of the present study is to demonstrate that ENDOCUFF VISION® increases the detection rate of adenomas thanks to the improved visibility produced by the retraction of the folds and stabilizing the colonoscope. Likewise, the impact of the use of ENDOCUFF VISION® on the average number of adenomas detected per patient (MAPP) as well as serrated adenomas (MASPP), the total time of the endoscopic procedure, cecal intubation and the safety of its use will be estimated.
