Filter by:The supplementation of hydrogen molecules as an aid, adjuvant, may speed up recovering the course of the disease. The purpose of this study is to determine the possible efficacy and safety of solid hydrogen supplements for a clinical study in patients with chronic diseases. Patients will receive hydrogen capsules with their conventional treatment for 24 weeks. Investigators will test for any changes in haematologic, urine analysis and health status during and following the exposure period.
This cohort study aims to investigate the impact of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSA) resulting from chronic tonsillitis on pregnancy outcomes. The hypothesis posits that chronic tonsillitis-induced OSA may exacerbate pregnancy complications and increase the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
Uveitis and its complications are thought to account for 10 to 15% of preventable blindness in Western countries. The diagnosis of chronic non-infectious uveitis (CNUI) can be made after exclusion of pseudo uveitis or infectious uveitis, in the case of any persistent uveitis or uveitis with frequent relapses occurring less than 3 months after cessation of treatment. Adalimumab (ADA), an anti-TNFα monoclonal antibody, has marketing authorization and is widely used in the treatment of UCNI as a relay to corticosteroids. The use of ADA has been optimized, in particular through Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM), based on the determination of serum ADA levels and anti-ADA antibodies. Recently, an article showed that a strategy of spacing ADA administrations in RA patients with concentrations >8 μg/mL was not inferior to standard.
This protocol outlines a planned mixed methods feasibility trial which will be conducted to examine the feasibility and acceptability of a physiotherapy-led exercise-based telerehabilitation programme for groups of people with mixed chronic health conditions.
Our objective is to carry out research on prevention and control of noncommunicable chronic diseases, and establish a risk prediction mechanism for chronic diseases to promote early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment of chronic diseases in natural population in Qianwan District of Ningbo, significantly reduce medical costs and extend population life span.
The goal of this observational study is to learn about the risk factors of lifestyle, medication and sexual habits in adult chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome patients. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Is lifestyle, medication, and sexual habits related to chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome - Is there any medication available to protect men from chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome. Participants will: - Independently receive a survey questionnaire on lifestyle, medication, and sexual habits. - Symptomatic individuals will undergo additional prostate fluid examination for diagnosis. Researchers will compare healthy adult males to see if there are differences on lifestyle, medication and sexual habits between the two groups.
The FLIGHT study is an open-label, single-arm, pilot and feasibility study of a personalized and multimodality intervention focusing upon modifiable lifestyle factors, environmental modifications, and transdisciplinary clinical care for children with chronic illness. A mixed methods outcomes evaluation will be performed. The primary goal of this study is to evaluate the most feasible and promising strategies to inform a more streamlined and scalable intervention in the future. Up to 14 participants may be enrolled, but fewer are expected to achieve the primary goal of the study.
Dose-response validation of whole grain dietary intake biomarkers remains limited, and it is debatable whether these markers could be utilized as classifiers for different levels of whole grain consumption. Because there are significant disparities in genetic background and dietary patterns between Chinese and Western cultures, it is unclear if whole grain dietary intake biomarkers can characterize whole grain consumption in Chinese populations. To address these issues, the current study was designed to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of potential whole grain markers in a randomized controlled trial, as well as to validate the markers' dose-response relationship, so that they can be used in nutritional epidemiological studies and dietary intake assessments of whole grains.
This study is planned to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of OM-89 in Patients with Recurrent Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CP/CPPS)
This is planned as a feasibility study. The primary objective is to evaluate a specially designed patient monitoring software Vitalbeat and standard mobile device hub termed Intel Health Application Platform (IHAP) in terms of its reliability, seamless data transmission and early data availability to the physician to improve patient physician interaction. The second objective is assessing patient response to use of mobile device monitoring and patient self-monitoring skills to transmit vital signs data using the IHAP wireless home hub device
