NCT ID: NCT05737420 Active, not recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Video-call Assisted Assessment of Acute Stroke in Addition to Stroke Severity Scales in a Prehospital Setting

Start date: July 6, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study aims to investigate whether a live stream video between the on-call neurologist and the emergency medical services is feasible.

NCT ID: NCT04937452 Active, not recruiting - Dementia Clinical Trials

Dopaminergic Therapy for Frontotemporal Dementia Patients

Start date: June 3, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a phase IIa 24-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study. The study is designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Rotigotine (RTG) transdermal administration at the dosage of 4 mg or 6 mg per day versus Placebo (PLC) in newly diagnosed behavioural Frontotemporal Dementia (bvFTD) patients. 75 patients with a diagnosis of probable bvFTD will be randomly allocated to the 3 treatment arms (RTG 4mg/day, RTG 6mg/day or PLC), with 25 patients per group. Clinical and neurophysiological measurements and brain metabolism via FDG-PET will be collected before and after drug administration.

NCT ID: NCT04737785 Active, not recruiting - Infection Clinical Trials

Central Nervous System Disorders Following Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation

Start date: January 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

All patients undergoing allogeneic or autologous HSCT at the participating centres will be observed. Once a diagnosis of CNS disorder is made, additional data will be reported for these patients. We will identify clinical and diagnostic characteristics such as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and neuroimaging patterns, risk factors, response to treatment (including novel antifungal agents such as isavuconazole) and outcome. In addition, risk factors for CNS disorders after allogeneic and autologous HSCT will be analyzed using a prospectively assessed matched control group. In the future, this study might be the basis for an interventional trial (e.g. using a prophylactic approach).

NCT ID: NCT03911388 Active, not recruiting - Neoplasms Clinical Trials

HSV G207 in Children With Recurrent or Refractory Cerebellar Brain Tumors

Start date: September 12, 2019
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This study is a clinical trial to determine the safety of inoculating G207 (an experimental virus therapy) into a recurrent or refractory cerebellar brain tumor. The safety of combining G207 with a single low dose of radiation, designed to enhance virus replication, tumor cell killing, and an anti-tumor immune response, will also be tested. NCT ID: NCT03819764 Active, not recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Cost-effectiveness of Forced Aerobic Exercise for Stroke Rehabilitation

Start date: April 11, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether aerobic exercise improves the participant's ability to recover function in the arm and leg affected by the participant's stroke. The investigators are also calculating the cost effectiveness of the rehabilitation interventions.

NCT ID: NCT03776994 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Nervous System Diseases

Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis Monovalent Virus-Like Particle Vaccine

VEEV
Start date: July 17, 2018
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of non-adjuvanted and adjuvanted monovalent VEE VLP Vaccine in healthy adults (ages 18-50 years) when administered via intramuscular (IM) injection at escalating doses of 2 μg, 10 μg, and 20 μg as a 2-dose primary series (Day 0, Day 28) with a Day 140 booster dose. The secondary objective of the study is to evaluate immunogenicity of the vaccine at the aforementioned time points

NCT ID: NCT03396939 Active, not recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

The Technology-assisted, High Intensive, Task-oriented Exercise Trial

TECHITO
Start date: January 10, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The interventional study aims to increase the knowledge on arm and hand rehabilitation after stroke within community-based services. The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the feasibility and clinical usefulness of the arm and hand training program (focusing on functional goal- and task-oriented daily life exercises) in combination with the use of an orthotic device in terms of patient compliance and improvement of outcomes. The secondary objective is to compare the effectiveness of the program with or without the use of an orthotic device in a randomized controlled trial.
