Filter by:The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of diabetes mellitus (DM) on anterior chamber cytokine production and postoperative macular edema in patients undergoing femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS). Patients with DM routinely undergo FLACS, yet the majority of studies evaluating intraocular inflammation following femtosecond laser treatment have excluded this patient population. Importantly, DM alters the inflammatory status of the eye, which may influence the production of inflammatory mediators following femtosecond laser treatment and the development of postoperative macular edema. The results from this study will provide insight into the risks and benefits of FLACS in patients with DM.
Hanita Lenses Trifocal IOL, SeeLens AFR (Intensity IOL).Prospective, single-arm single-center, open-label study.
To evaluate the differences between three-Dimensional heads-Up surgery system and traditional surgery methods of cataract surgery
CleaRing is intended to reduce posterior capsular opacification in cataract patients. The device is intended to be implanted together with standard posterior chamber IOL during cataract surgery.
This study summarizes the experience of precision treatment and postoperative management of various types of cataract, and intend to further improve the quality of Clinical Cataract diagnosis and treatment.
Approximately 60 participants at Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University during January,2017 to June 2021 will be enroll in our study. And dived them randomly into 2 groups:Progressive Cracking Technique (30 eyes) and Conventional Chop Technique (30 eyes) .
The ocular biometric parameters of the children with congenital cataract including preoperative pupil diameter, corneal diameter, axial length, anterior and posterior capsule size, iris adhesion. And then analysis whether the preoperative parameters were correlated with the implantation site of secondary implantation.
Children after congenital cataract surgery experience a lower quality of life and reduced functional vision. Their families have also been seriously affected. Investigators should pay more attention to them, and measures should be administered to families.
Cataract surgery with topic anesthesia is anxiety provoking. This operative stress can increase pain perception and blood pressure. This discomfort can lead to non-compliance with immobility and potentially lead to intraoperative and postoperative complications. Pharmacological means are limited to reduce anxiety. Only anxiolytics could be effective but at the cost of side effects not compatible with surgery. Music Care is a "digital treatment" allowing the diffusion of music with a U-shaped sequence using the principles of hypnoanalgesia. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the MusicCare listening device on the anxiety of patients during cataract surgery with topic anesthesia
This Phase 3 study will evaluate APP13007 in comparison to the matching vehicle placebo in a randomized, parallel-group, double-masked fashion. The subjects will have undergone routine cataract surgery on Day 0 of the study and will be assessed the next day (Post-operative Day; POD1) after uncomplicated surgery for eligibility for randomization to study treatment. The study comprises the Main Study and the Endothelial Cell Sub-study.
