Filter by:This is a phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate new or worsening lens opacifications in subjects with non-metastatic prostate cancer receiving denosumab for bone loss due to androgen deprivation therapy.
This study is being conducted to evaluate the intraocular penetration of Moxifloxacin 0.5% ophthalmic solution (Vigamox) and Besifloxacin 0.6% ophthalmic suspension (Besivance) after pre-operative topical administration in subjects undergoing cataract surgery.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of using the Femtosecond Laser System to perform surgical maneuvers during cataract extraction surgery.
Two very common aging-related diseases in older adults are Alzheimer's disease (AD) and cataracts. In elderly adults, these two diseases frequently occur in the same person. Although a cure for AD is currently unavailable, cataracts can be effectively treated with surgery in most people. The removal of cataracts has documented benefits for visual performance and for reducing accidents and falls. However, it has been the experience of the ophthalmologists, and others in the field, that patients, caregivers, and primary care doctors are reluctant to proceed with cataract surgery once an individual is given the diagnosis of AD. It is thought that cataract surgery will not improve the AD patient's quality of life, vision, and cognition. The investigators have designed this study to determine whether or not this is true.
This clinical study is being conducted to identify the most effective drug concentration and dose frequency of BOL-303242-X (Mapracorat) ophthalmic suspension, for the treatment of inflammation following cataract surgery.
This study is being conducted to show that indomethacin is at least as effective as ketorolac for the prevention of ocular inflammation following cataract surgery.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the depth of focus and visual outcomes after implantation of the Acrysof IQ SN60WF aspheric intraocular lens (IOL) and the Acrysof Natural SN60AT spherical IOL.
The purpose of this study is to determine if differences in the design of multifocal intra-ocular lenses would mean different values of higher-order aberrations and different performance in objective parameters such as modulation transfer function.
Pilot study to evaluate usability of Mesotest II for assessment of night driving capacity of pseudo-phakic patients implanted with aspheric monofocal posterior chamber IOL *AT.Smart 46LC. Target Criterion: Measurement of contrast sensitivity and sensitivity to light under mesopic conditions (Mesotest II, Oculus).
To demonstrate that the combination formulation of Moxifloxacin/Dexamethasone Eye Drop is effective and safe for the prevention of postoperative inflammation as a consequence of cataract extraction surgery.
