Filter by:The purpose of the intended proposed research is to investigate and determine best strategies for preventing skin cancer for emerging adults. To answer this question, the investigators intended to pilot a randomized control trial with three arms: 1) Facial Morphing, 2) Mindfulness, and 3) Treatment as usual. The population from which the sample was drawn from was undergraduate psychology students from a large public university in Southern California, who report recent indoor/outdoor tanning, and intentions for future tanning.
The INSIGHT ('Insight into Real-world Practice of Management of HCC in Asia-Pacific') registry is designed as a multi-centre longitudinal cohort study of patients diagnosed with HCC between 1st January 2013 and 31st December 2019 in nine countries (i.e., South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore). Approximately 30% of the sample size will be identified retrospectively and 70% will be identified prospectively from the start date of the registry (October 2016), with an even distribution of consecutively diagnosed patients within the different years.
This Phase 4, prospective, multicenter, non-interventional, regulatory post-marketing surveillance study will collect information on the the safety and effectiveness of atezolizumab under the clinical practice, and update the drug label approved by the MFDS in Korea.
This phase I trial studies the best dose and side effects of trigriluzole in combination with nivolumab and pembrolizumab in treating patients with solid malignancies or lymphoma that has spread to other places in the body or cannot be removed by surgery. Trigriluzole may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and pembrolizumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving trigriluzole in combination with nivolumab and pembrolizumab may work better at treating patients with solid malignancies or lymphoma.
Background: The incidence of human papilloma virus-driven oropharyngeal cancer (HPV-OPC), a type of head and neck cancer, is rapidly increasing within the US. Currently, there are no screening methods for early detection. HPV16 E6 antibodies combined with ultrasound imaging may be a promising method for early detection of HPV-OPC. However, prior to testing HPV16 E6 antibodies and ultrasound for HPV-OPC screening, larger studies are needed to further validate the utility of these methods in the diagnostic setting among patients with suspected and/or symptomatic HPV-OPC. Objective/Hypothesis: To investigate two promising screening modalities for the detection of HPV-OPC, transcervical ultrasound and HPV16 E6 antibodies. The investigators hypothesize that both ultrasound and HPV16 E6 antibodies will be highly sensitive for the detection of symptomatic HPV-OPC. Specific Aims: (1) Determine the sensitivity of ultrasound to characterize OPC tumors compared to current standard imaging modalities among patients with suspected or confirmed OPC. (2) To determine the sensitivity and specificity of HPV16 E6 antibodies for HPV-OPC. (3) Determine the sensitivity of ultrasound to detect HPV-OPC compared to current standard imaging modalities among patients that present with a neck mass and unknown primary tumor.
This phase II trial studies the side effects and how well nivolumab with or with ipilimumab works in treating patients with liver cancer that can be removed by surgery. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread.
Investigators plan to study the safety, side effects, and benefits of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) when they are given with the drug nivolumab. Nivolumab is a type of immunotherapy - a drug that is used to boost the ability of the immune system to fight cancer, infection, and other diseases.
Many investigators have studied for prevention and care of Hand-Foot Skin Reaction(HFSR), and urea cream is typical representative. Recent study was performed prevention effect of urea cream for Hand-Foot Skin Reaction(HFSR) on 871 Chinese. But the study did not designed as placebo-control group and it had big defect in double-blinded. Therefore, it needs complementary study as double-blinded placebo-controlled trial and effect of urea cream on Korean patient group.
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of alpelisib when given together with enzalutamide in treating patients with androgen receptor and PTEN positive breast cancer that has spread to other places in the body. Alpelisib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Androgen receptor can cause the growth of breast cancer cells. Hormone therapy using enzalutamide may fight breast cancer by lowering the amount of androgen the body makes. Giving alpelisib and enzalutamide may work better in treating patients with breast cancer.
This study is being carried out in order to evaluate a new cancer vaccine called IMA970A combined with CV8102, a new adjuvant for the treatment of liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma). It will be investigated whether IMA970A and CV8102 is safe and can trigger an immune response against the tumor, which may prevent the tumor (cancer) from recurring or spreading or may even lead to tumor shrinkage following the standard treatments the patients have previously received.
