NCT ID: NCT01152840 Completed - Clinical trials for Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma

Study of RAD001 in Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma

ACCRAD001
Start date: July 2008
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

- Although mTOR is clearly an attractive therapeutic target in tumor, no clinical study on mTOR inhibition by RAD001 has been systematically conducted in adenoid cystic carcinoma. - In phase I study of RAD001, 2 patients with adenoid cystic carcinoma show some response to RAD001 (unpublished data). - So the investigators design this phase II study of RAD001 in adenoid cystic carcinoma to evaluate the efficacy of RAD001 in this orphan disease.

NCT ID: NCT01151007 Completed - Clinical trials for Colorectal Carcinoma

KRAS Mutation and Incidence of the Colorectal Carcinoma in Martinique Between 2007 and 2009

KRAS
Start date: July 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

- There is no data at present concerning the KRAS mutation in patients from Martinique with colorectal cancer. Despite the fact that the incidence of this disease continues to increase there is no recent data to confirm it. This study has a descriptive purpose, allowing a comparison of the population from Martinique to other populations. - A study of incidence of colorectal cancer, overseen by the Association from Martinique for the Epidemiological Search on Cancer (AMREC), also leads to a better knowledge of the local characteristics of the colorectal cancer. - These two descriptive characteristics of colorectal cancer in Martinique will be useful data for the health professionals to provide their patients better care.

NCT ID: NCT01149122 Completed - Clinical trials for Unresectable, Metastatic Biliary Tract Carcinoma

Gemcitabine/Oxaliplatin (GEMOX) With or Without Erlotinib (Tarceva) in Advanced Biliary Tract Carcinoma

Start date: January 2009
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether Gemcitabine/Oxaliplatin (GEMOX) with or without Erlotinib (Tarceva) is effective in the treatment of unresectable, metastatic biliary tract carcinoma.

NCT ID: NCT01147822 Completed - Clinical trials for Carcinoma, Renal Cell

Pazopanib Versus Sunitinib in the Treatment of Asian Subjects With Locally Advanced and/or Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma

Start date: May 19, 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This study is being conducted to provide a direct comparison of the efficacy, safety, and tolerabilityfor pazopanib and sunitinib (SUTENT) in the Asian population.

NCT ID: NCT01145430 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Ovarian Carcinoma

Veliparib and Pegylated Liposomal Doxorubicin Hydrochloride in Treating Patients With Recurrent Ovarian Cancer, Fallopian Tube Cancer, or Primary Peritoneal Cancer or Metastatic Breast Cancer

Start date: June 1, 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This phase I trial studies the side effects and the best dose of veliparib when given together with pegylated liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride in treating patients with ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer that has come back after a period of improvement, or breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. Veliparib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving veliparib together with liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride may kill more tumor cells.

NCT ID: NCT01141569 Completed - Clinical trials for Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma

A Study of RO4929097 in Patients With Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma That Have Failed Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF)/Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor (VEGFR) Therapy

Start date: June 2010
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the activity of RO4929097 in renal cell carcinoma patients that have failed therapy with VEGF/VEGFR directed agents.

NCT ID: NCT01140347 Completed - Clinical trials for Hepatocellular Carcinoma

A Study of Ramucirumab (IMC-1121B) Drug Product (DP) and Best Supportive Care (BSC) Versus Placebo and BSC as 2nd-Line Treatment in Participants With Hepatocellular Carcinoma After 1st-Line Therapy With Sorafenib

REACH
Start date: October 2010
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a Phase 3 multicenter, randomized study evaluating the safety and efficacy of ramucirumab DP plus BSC as a double-blind, placebo-controlled (placebo plus BSC) comparison. Approximately 544 participants, at least 18 years of age, with Child-Pugh score < 7 and diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma will be randomized. Participants must have received sorafenib as first-line systemic treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and must have discontinued sorafenib prior to entering the study. Hypothesis: This sample size will allow differentiation of the expected increase in median overall survival (OS), from 8 months in the placebo arm to 10.67 months in the ramucirumab arm. Upon registration and completion of screening procedures, eligible participants with HCC who have disease progression during or following first-line therapy with sorafenib, or were intolerant to this agent, will be randomized to receive either ramucirumab DP or placebo. The treatment regimen will be continued until radiographic or symptomatic progression, the development of unacceptable toxicity, noncompliance or withdrawal of consent by the participant, or investigator decision.

NCT ID: NCT01140178 Completed - Dysplasia Clinical Trials

A Trial of Photodynamic Therapy With HPPH for Treatment of Dysplasia, Carcinoma in Situ and T1 Carcinoma of the Oral Cavity and/or Oropharynx

Start date: June 8, 2010
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Recent literature suggests that certain patients with squamous cell cancers of the head and neck region may benefit from photodynamic therapy whether or not they may have received prior therapy, e.g. radiation therapy

NCT ID: NCT01139957 Completed - Breast Carcinoma Clinical Trials

Incidence of Cancer in Women at Increased Genetic Risk of Ovarian Cancer

Start date: June 7, 2010
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This clinical trial is studying the incidence of cancer in women at increased genetic risk of ovarian cancer. Gathering information about genetic factors in women with an increased risk of ovarian cancer over time may help doctors learn more about the disease and find better methods of treatment and on-going care.

Start date: August 5, 2010
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is an open-label, multicenter, Phase 1b/2 study of lenvatinib alone and in combination with everolimus in subjects with unresectable advanced or metastatic renal cell carcinoma following one prior VEGF-targeted treatment.
