Application of 3D Printing Technique in Radical Gastrectomy With Leonardo da Vinci Robot

3DINGCRS
Start date: August 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The incidence of gastric cancer is the highest in China, and surgery is one of the most effective treatment methods. Da Vinci robot radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer has the advantage of minimally invasive and fine operation. However, due to complicated perigastric anatomy, abundant blood supply and wide distribution of lymph nodes, it is widely used in clinical use of .Combine the 3D printing technique with imaging examination (digestive endoscopy,3Dct cta/ctv, etc.) ,making the 3D model of da Vinci robot assisted radical gastrectomy can fully show the anatomical relationship around gastric cancer, determine the flow and variation of splenic portal vessels, and the distribution of splenic hilar lymph nodes. In order to eliminate the imagination difference of spatial anatomical structure before operation, it is easier for surgeons to optimize the operation plan, to control the operation process and to improve the accuracy, and to adopt individualized operation suitable for the patients.

NCT ID: NCT03608189 Not yet recruiting - ACL Injury Clinical Trials

Multimodal Assessment of Knee Conditions in Rehabilitation

Start date: August 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to assess ACL injury and other pathological knee conditions from the combination of signals that are known to provide information on the knee joint.

NCT ID: NCT03608852 Not yet recruiting - Smoking Cessation Clinical Trials

Unconventional Financial Incentives for Smoking Cessation

Start date: August 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The proposed study is a randomized study of actively smoking veterans cared for at the Miami VA Medical Center. Subjects are randomized into 2 groups and will all receive a regimen of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) standardized to their smoking habit. Subjects are followed biweekly for smoking cessation by using biochemical tests (exCO and COHb) to determine smoking abstinence. The first group called the Banked-Money Group will have $50 placed in a 'bank account' for every clinic visit where their tests reveal abstinence from smoking. As a modified commitment contract, the Banked-Money Group can only withdraw the accrued money at the end of the trial if they complete the trial by quitting smoking for the entire 6 months. The second group called the Reward Group will directly receive $50 for every clinic visit where their tests reveal abstinence from smoking.

Diastolic Blood Pressure and Lipid Profile in Infants

ERAhmed
Start date: August 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The influence of early environmental factors, including nutrition, on future cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk and, in a broader view, the concept of early metabolic programming and future health have been extensively discussed during the past decades. Observational studies have suggested that formula-fed infants as compared with breastfed infants have an elevated risk of future CVD.

NCT ID: NCT03612440 Not yet recruiting - Adverse Effect Clinical Trials

Effects of Dexmedetomidine on OI, RI and Inflammatory Factors in Patients Undergoing Palatopalatyngoplasty.

Start date: August 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of dexmedetomidine on oxygenation index, respiratory index and inflammatory factors, and to explore the protective effect of the dexmedetomidine on respiratory function in patients undergoing palatopalatyngoplasty.

NCT ID: NCT03613896 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Accuracy of 3d Printed Dentures

Accuracy of 3D Printed Maxillary Complete Dentures

Start date: August 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Conventional complete dentures have been used for almost a century as a treatment choice for edentulous patients, despite of their inaccuracy & dimensional changes during manufacturing. Recently, new manufacturing techniques like RP/3D printing (rapid prototyping) has progressed in the dental field including prosthodontics, does the 3D printed complete denture show more accuracy than conventional ones?

NCT ID: NCT03616691 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Non Small Cell Lung Cancer

Atezolizumab Monotherapy and Consequent Therapy With Atezolizumab Plus Bevacizumab for NSCLC

Start date: August 1, 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a single-arm phase II trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab and bevacizumab combination therapy (stage 2) after radiologic progression of atezolizumab monotherapy (stage 1) in Korean patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC who have progressed during or following a platinum-containing regimen. Initially, patients will be treated with Atezolizumab 1200mg every 3 weeks as a single agent (stage 1). After radiologic progression from atezolizumab monotherapy, patients will be consequently treated with atezolizumab (1200mg every 3 weeks) and combination with bevacizumab (15mg/kg every 3 weeks). Exploratory biomarkers will be observed in order to identify predictive biomarkers correlated to response and to evaluate the changes of local and systemic immune profile between baseline and at the time of progression.

Bodytrak® Feasibility Study

Start date: August 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Bodytrak® is a wireless earpiece which can monitor the user's vital signs such as tympanic (ear) temperature and heart rate. The earpiece is non-invasive and should fit comfortably within the right ear, similar to an earphone with an over-the-ear hook. Bodytrak is currently in a prototype stage. The purpose of this study is to assess the feasibility of conducting a trial investigating the integration of Bodytrak in an NHS (National Health Service) environment at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital; to collect patient vital sign data for the development of Bodytrak algorithms to detect the transition point of recovery/deterioration of health, as well as the level of consciousness; and to obtain nurse and patient feedback regarding their user experience of Bodytrak.
