NCT ID: NCT05912933 Not yet recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study to Learn About the Relationship Between Hepatic Impairment and Myelosuppression (Decreased Bone Marrow Function) in Breast Cancer Patients Treated With the Study Medicine Palbociclib (Pal-bow-sai-klib)

Start date: March 1, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to evaluate incidence of grade 4 neutropenia in patients who have hepatic impairment and use the study medicine Palbociclib. This study is seeking participants: - treated with the study medicine Palbociclib - having any breast cancer records in same month as the index date (the first prescription date) - having prescription records of palbociclib from 20 December 2016 to 29 February 2024 The study design is a cohort study. This study design uses de-identified patient data from a hospital based electronic medical record and claim database in Japan. One of the important side effects of taking Palbociclib is neutropenia (decreased count of neutrophils - a type of white blood cell). In this study, the relationship between neutropenia caused by Palbociclib and hepatic impairment was studied after it was released to the market. To do that, the study gathered details of breast cancer patients newly treated with Palbociclib from 23 hospitals and 10 medical institutes across Japan. The below patient details were collected: - dose of Palbociclib - other medicines prescribed for cancer - age - gender - past information on cancer treatments - laboratory findings at baseline The result was based on the neutrophil count collected from the laboratory data. Around 1300 patients newly treated with Palbociclib for breast cancer was calculated by the medical information database network (MID-NET) in 6 years from 15 December 2017.

NCT ID: NCT05912231 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Ultrahypofractionation and Normal Tissue Toxicity

Start date: August 15, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This research is being done to see if proton beam radiation therapy (PBT) results in fewer changes to a participant's heart measured with MRI-imaging than conventional or "photon" radiation therapy (XRT) for participants with non-metastatic left sided breast cancer. The names of the two study groups in this research study are: - Proton Radiation Therapy (PBT) - Conventional or "Photon" Radiation Therapy (XRT)

NCT ID: NCT05912062 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Early On-treatment Transcriptional Profiling as Predictor of Response in Early-stage HER2-positive Breast Cancer

BiOnHER
Start date: March 22, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Non-randomized, open label, translational research study in women with early HER2-positive invasive breast carcinoma eligible for neoadjuvant treatment. The aim of BIONHER is to assess the impact of short-term neoadjuvant dual HER2-blockade on HER2-positive breast cancer transcriptomic profile and to evaluate whether early on treatment tumor biopsy can improve the accuracy of predicting response over the pre-treatment alone.

NCT ID: NCT05911958 Recruiting - Clinical trials for HER2 Low Breast Carcinoma

A Study of SHR-A1811 as Neoadjuvant Treatment for Patients With HR-Positive, Low HER2 Expression Breast Cancer

Start date: July 5, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

HR-positive breast cancers accounts for about 50% to 60% of all breast cancer patients. Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy is the core treatment mode for this type of breast cancer, and endocrine therapy can be used in some low-risk patients. However, the pathological complete response (pCR) rate obtained is low. HER2 is an important prognostic indicator and therapeutic target for breast cancer. Nearly 60% of HR-positive breast cancers have low expression of HER2, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADC) targeting HER2 may achieve better efficacy in this subtype.

NCT ID: NCT05911867 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Muscle Energy Technique and Mulligan's Mobilization in Breast Cancer Surgery Patients

MWMMET
Start date: June 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

A recent study aimed to examine the combined effect of Mulligan and muscle energy techniques on postural changes and shoulder kinematics among women who had undergone breast cancer surgery with axillary dissection.

NCT ID: NCT05911373 Completed - Analgesia Clinical Trials

Serratus Plane Block Versus Serratus Plane Block Plus Parasternal Block Combination for Breast Surgery

Start date: June 21, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Mastectomy is a technique often used in breast cancer surgery. Patients experience moderate to severe pain postoperatively after this procedure. Various plane blocks, NSAIDs, and opioid analgesics can be administered to these patients as components of multimodal analgesia. In the the study, the investigators aimed to evaluate the analgesic effects of the serratus plane block, the parasternal block added to the serratus plane block, and the dermatomal differences.

NCT ID: NCT05910710 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Impact of Immuno-Oncologic Agent on Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy in Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Start date: March 2, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

It analyzes the Tumor microenvironment(TME) changes in non pathologic complete response(pCR) subjects among subjects who were administered neoadjuvant pembrolizumab and those who were not administered neoadjuvant pembrolizumab for triple negative breast cancer. (Neoadjuvant Weekly paclitaxel, Carboplatin +- Pembrolizumab followed by Doxorubicin, Cyclophosphamide +- Pembrolizumab regimen)

NCT ID: NCT05910398 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Breast Cancer Invasive

Continuous or Intermittent Extension of Adjuvant Pyrotinib for Invasive HER2-positive Breast Cancer

CORINNE-PI
Start date: June 1, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This is a prospective, randomised, controlled, multicentre study to compare the efficacy and safety between continuous or intermittent extension of adjuvant pyrotinib in invasive human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT05910294 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Improve Vulvovaginal Health

A Study to Prevent and Improve Sexual Health Concerns for People With Breast Cancer

Start date: June 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Researchers are doing this study to look at whether sexual health counselling and using non-hormonal moisturizer at the start of ovarian suppression may be able to prevent or reduce side effects such as vaginal dryness and sexual dysfunction. Researchers will compare how effective this prevention intervention works compared to the usual approach, which is to treat these side effects after they start. All participants will also complete surveys about their sexual health. This information will help researchers learn more about the sexual health of women with breast cancer receiving ovarian suppression.

NCT ID: NCT05909813 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Individualized Piano Instruction (IPI) for Improving Cognition in Breast Cancer Survivors.

Start date: January 8, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to test the study method and procedure for individualized piano instruction (IPI) and its impact on chemotherapy related cognitive impairment (CRCI) symptoms. There have been studies that show the benefits of leaning to play the piano keyboard on cognitive skills in children and elderly populations. The information collected from the program will be used to examine the feasibility of implementing this program permanently
