Filter by:Many breast cancer survivors (estimated 70% in some studies) experience clinically significant depression and/or anxiety in the months and years after finishing cancer treatments. This research will build on the rigor of prior research to reduce breast cancer survivor depression and anxiety with a compassion meditation intervention called CBCT (Cognitively-Based Compassion Training) for online synchronous delivery that is also inclusive of informal caregivers (i.e., adult family members who live with and typically provide half the care for survivors, aka supportive partners).
To learn if sacituzumab govitecan and pembrolizumab, when given before surgery, can help to control early-stage triple negative breast cancer that has not responded well to other treatments.
This clinical trial evaluates the feasibility of coaching-based navigation for black breast cancer survivors including recruitment, dropout, and survey completion rates. A coaching-based navigation may perform a needs assessment and coach the participant to access relevant supportive content including physical rehabilitation, emotional and psychosocial support, and nutrition and exercise programming. This trial aims to see whether this navigation program may improve the quality of life of black breast cancer survivors.

The purpose of this clinical trial is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Utidelone plus AC versus Docetaxel plus AC as neoadjuvant chemotherapy in high-risk HER2-negative early-stage or locally advanced breast cancer. In this phase III, multi-center, open-label, randomized controlled study, 552 subjects will be enrolled and randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to either the Utidelone plus AC group or the docetaxel plus AC group, stratified by hormone receptor status (ER and/or PgR positive vs ER and PgR negative).
IBISCO TRIAL is a phase II trial aimed to demonstrate the improvement of pathological complete response (pCR) in Luminal B breast cancer (BC) patients treated with stereotactic radiation therapy (SBRT) as an anticipated boost associated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). As a secondary objective, histochemical and molecular analysis of the tumour and the inflammatory microenvironment will be performed.

Breast cancer is the commonest malignancy among females and one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Many drugs have been developed over the years to try to extend survival among these patients including cyclin dependant kinase inhibitors. Cyclin dependant kinase inhibitors (CDK inhibitors) mainly Palbociclib (PAL), ribociclib (RIB) and abemaciclib (ABM) are approved for treatment of hormone receptor positive, HER2 negative advanced breast cancer in the 1st line and subsequent lines in combination with aromatase inhibitors or fulvestrant. Studies showed that they extend progression free survival and recently they showed overall survival benefit. In this study investigators compare Palbociclib+ fulvestrant VS Ribociclib + fulvestrant as a second line treatment in metastatic ER+ve her2 -ve BC in oncology center mansoura university egyptian patients.
To learn whether a new imaging technology, Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM), compared to standard mammography, can better detect breast cancers in women with dense breasts
The goal of the experiment is surgical de-escalation. Patients with newly diagnosed cT1-3, cN1, cM0 and HR+, HER2- breast cancer and low clinical risk usually first receive breast cancer surgery, after which chemotherapy can be added based on the final anatomopathological results or additional Gene Expression Profiling (GEP) testing. Chemotherapy helps reduce the cancer recurrence or metastasis risk. Adjuvant chemotherapy (AC) can be given for large tumours, aggressive tumours with high grade tumour cells, or if axillary lymph node invasion is discovered during surgery. If the investigators were able to identify patients requiring chemotherapy prior to surgery, they could treat them with Neo-Adjuvant Chemotherapy (NAC) instead. By using MammaPrint® GEP, the investigators would be able to stratify patients into either a low- or high-risk category. Since the high-risk group is known to benefit from chemotherapy to improve overall survival, they would be treated with NAC, which could also potentially lead to surgical de-escalation. Breast conserving procedures, such as a lumpectomy instead of a mastectomy, could allow more aesthetically pleasing results and increase patient quality of life. Using NAC for patients with axillary lymph node invasion could lead to nodal complete pathological response (cN1 -> ypN0), allowing patients that are willing to enter the TADANAC trial a lymph node sparing procedure instead of a full axillary lymph node dissection.
