NCT ID: NCT03038152 Completed - Clinical trials for Stage IIIA Breast Cancer AJCC v7

Magseed Magnetic Marker in Locating Axillary Lymph Nodes in Patients With Breast Cancer Undergoing Surgery

Start date: April 11, 2017
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This phase IV trial studies the side effects of the Magseed magnetic marker and how well it works in locating lymph nodes in the underarm area in patients with breast cancer undergoing surgery. Injecting a small metallic marker in or near the lymph node prior to surgery may help the surgeon locate the lymph nodes during surgery without using radiation.

NCT ID: NCT03036943 Completed - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Fluciclovine (18F) Imaging of Breast Cancer

FRONTIER
Start date: February 15, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to find out what a new amino acid-based PET agent, fluciclovine (18F), can tell us about breast cancer biology (how it grows and develops), and quantify the differences in fluciclovine (18F) uptake between breast cancer subtypes. This will inform further work to investigate its use in breast cancer management.

NCT ID: NCT03036488 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Triple Negative Breast Neoplasms

Study of Pembrolizumab (MK-3475) Plus Chemotherapy vs Placebo Plus Chemotherapy as Neoadjuvant Therapy and Pembrolizumab vs Placebo as Adjuvant Therapy in Participants With Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) (MK-3475-522/KEYNOTE-522)

Start date: March 7, 2017
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab (MK-3475) plus chemotherapy vs placebo plus chemotherapy as neoadjuvant therapy and pembrolizumab vs placebo as adjuvant therapy in participants who have triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). After a screening phase of approximately 28 days, each participant will receive neoadjuvant study treatment (Pembrolizumab + Chemotherapy OR Placebo + Chemotherapy) based on the randomization schedule for approximately 24 weeks (8 cycles). Each participant will then undergo definitive surgery 3-6 weeks after conclusion of the last cycle of the neoadjuvant study treatment. After definitive surgery, each participant will receive adjuvant study treatment (Pembrolizumab OR Placebo) for approximately 27 weeks (9 cycles). Following adjuvant study treatment, each participant will be monitored for safety, survival and disease recurrence. The primary study hypothesis is that pembrolizumab is superior to placebo, in combination with chemotherapy, as measured by the rate of Pathological Complete Response (pCR) and/or Event-free Survival (EFS), in participants with locally advanced TNBC.

NCT ID: NCT03036475 Not yet recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Sienna and Sentimag in Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy

Sienna
Start date: March 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to evaluate a new method for the localization of breast cancer sentinel lymph node using Sienna+® and Sentimag® detection in comparison to our standard techniques with radio-isotopes.

NCT ID: NCT03036436 Active, not recruiting - Malignancy Clinical Trials

The IMPETUS Cancer Trial. A Technology Delivered Physical Activity Intervention in Cancer

IMPETUS
Start date: January 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Participants will take part in a 12 week intervention, with at least one follow up at 24 +/- 2 weeks. Each participant will be provided with support, motivation and professional guidance about improving physical activity (PA) levels and will be given a commercially available PA tracker. The PA tracker will also include a smartphone or web-based application, where participants can upload their exercise performed each day, and keep up to date with their goals using their smartphone or by logging on to their computer. The aim of the study is to find out how useful and effective technology with support from a healthcare professional is in helping cancer survivors to become more physically active. This study will measure objective PA levels of the participants at the start of the study and at the end. The acceptability of using this intervention to promote PA in cancer survivors will also be investigated.

NCT ID: NCT03032406 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Breast Cancer Stage IIB

CLEVER Pilot Trial: A Phase II Pilot Trial of HydroxyChLoroquine, EVErolimus or the Combination for Prevention of Recurrent Breast Cancer

Start date: January 23, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate the feasibility of administering HCQ, EVE or the combination in patients who have completed primary therapy for breast cancer and harbor bone marrow disseminated tumor cells.

NCT ID: NCT03032107 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

A Study Of Pembrolizumab In Combination With Trastuzumab-DM1

Start date: February 17, 2017
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This research study is studying a combination of drugs as a possible treatment for metastatic breast cancer. The interventions involved in this study are: - Pembrolizumab - Trastuzumab emtansine (also called T-DM1)

NCT ID: NCT03031561 Completed - Breast Carcinoma Clinical Trials

Ultrasound Imaging Technique in Detecting Breast Microcalcifications in Patients Undergoing Biopsy for a Breast Abnormality

Start date: March 1, 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical trial studies a new type of ultrasound technique, MicroPure, in detecting breast microcalcifications in patients undergoing biopsy for a breast abnormality. Ultrasound sends sound waves into the body, and the sound waves reflected back are interpreted by the machine into a grayscale image. MicroPure uses a filter that adjusts the brightness and gives color to the ultrasound images, which may allow doctors to better identify microcalcifications. Microcalcifications are tiny deposits of calcium in the breast that cannot be felt but can be detected by imaging. A group of microcalcifications may indicate that cancer is present.

NCT ID: NCT03030677 Completed - Breastcancer Clinical Trials

Establishing Technique for PECS2 Catheter Insertion

ETCI
Start date: November 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The investigators are trying to establish an easy technique for insertion of a catheter for continuous infusion while performing pectoral type 2 (serratus) block, as a post operative pain controlling measure for cases undergoing simple mastectomy, using ultrasound guidence

NCT ID: NCT03029286 Completed - Clinical trials for Breast Cancer Female

ENGAGED 2 Study: Experiences With Mammography Screening and Breast Density 2

Start date: February 15, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This trial will test a decision support web based intervention for women at increased risk for breast cancer due to breast density and other risk factors (age, race/ethnicity, family history of breast cancer, history of prior breast biopsies), and to consider MRI and/or chemoprevention to manage their breast cancer risk.
