NCT ID: NCT03939897 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Anatomic Stage IV Breast Cancer AJCC v8

Testing the Addition of Copanlisib to Usual Treatment (Fulvestrant and Abemaciclib) in Metastatic Breast Cancer

Start date: June 17, 2020
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase I/II trial studies the effects (good and bad) of adding copanlisib to the usual therapy of fulvestrant and abemaciclib in treating patients with hormone receptor positive and HER2 negative breast cancer that has spread from where it first started (breast) to other places in the body (metastatic). Some breast cancer cells have receptors for the hormones estrogen or progesterone. These cells are hormone receptor positive and they need estrogen or progesterone to grow. This can affect how the cancer is treated. Hormone therapy using fulvestrant may fight breast cancer by blocking the use of estrogen by the tumor cells. Abemaciclib and copanlisib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Adding copanlisib to the usual therapy of fulvestrant and abemaciclib may work better than giving fulvestrant and abemaciclib alone in treating patients with breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT03939871 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Hormone Receptor Positive Advanced Breast Cancer

A Study of Fluvestrant Combined With Oral Vinorelbine in Hormone Receptor-positive Advanced Breast Cancer

Start date: December 12, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a single-center phase II study designed to evaluated the efficacy and safety of fulvestrant in combination with oral vinorelbine in hormone receptor-positive advanced breast cancer

NCT ID: NCT03939598 Recruiting - Breast Neoplasm Clinical Trials

Feasibility of Preoperative Tattooing of Percutaneously Biopsied Axillary Lymph Node: A Quasi Experimental Pilot Study

Start date: March 27, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study evaluates utility of a novel technique using India Ink to aid in the identification and retrieval of axillary lymph nodes during surgery, in breast cancer patients with suspicious lymph nodes. The first part of the study will evaluate the feasibility of the technique in patients who commence their treatment with surgery. Provided its success, the second part of the study will evaluate the applicability of this same technique in patients who receive chemotherapy before having surgery.

NCT ID: NCT03939481 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Anatomic Stage III Breast Cancer AJCC v8

Treatment Effects on Development of Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy in Patients With Cancer

Start date: May 14, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This trial studies treatment effects on development of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in patients with cancer. Treatments for cancer can cause a problem to the nervous system (called peripheral neuropathy) that can lead to tingling or less feeling in hands and feet. Studying certain risk factors, such as age, gender, pre-existing conditions, and the type of treatment for cancer may help doctors estimate how likely patients are to develop the nerve disorder.

NCT ID: NCT03939156 Active, not recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Patients' Preferences for Adjuvant Endocrine Therapy in Early Breast Cancer

ELENA
Start date: June 5, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Preference studies reveal how individuals trade-off the potential benefits, harms and inconveniences of a treatment by determining the minimum benefits they judge sufficient to make the treatment worthwhile. They are especially relevant to adjuvant therapies where individuals must weigh up modest survival benefits only realized in time by no recurrence of their cancer with side effects predominantly experienced whilst on the treatment. Previously it was reported, for example, that over 50% of women who had adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer judged a 1% improvement in 5 year survival rates sufficient to make it worthwhile. Larger survival benefits were required for longer duration adjuvant hormonal therapy where over 50% of women required at least 5% improvement in 5 year survival rates to make it worthwhile.

NCT ID: NCT03936933 Recruiting - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Pharmacodynamic Study Goserelin 3.6mg Injection Administered Subcutaneously in Premenopausal Patients With Breast Cancer

Start date: October 30, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A two arm, multi centric, randomized, open label, parallel, multiple dose pharmacodynamic study in premenopausal patients with advanced breast cancer.

NCT ID: NCT03936478 Suspended - Breast Cancer Clinical Trials

Real-Time MRI-Guided 3-Fraction Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation in Early Breast Cancer

MAPBI
Start date: May 16, 2022
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This trial will investigate a novel 3-fraction radiation regimen for participants undergoing breast-conserving therapy (BCT) for early breast cancer that will: 1) significantly reduce the duration of treatment and can be completed in one-week (5 working days) and 2) MRI-guided radiotherapy (MRIdian) would limit the volume of normal tissue radiated and therefore resultant toxicity. The hypothesis is that 3-fraction radiation therapy can be delivered safely without compromising the therapeutic ratio. Participants can expect to be on study for follow up up to 5 years.

NCT ID: NCT03936075 Active, not recruiting - Cancer, Breast Clinical Trials

Guided Imagery & Music in Cancer

Start date: July 1, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is an RCT pilot study to explore the potential effects of the Guided Imagery & Music method for women with breast or gynecologic cancer, during active treatment. The study explores the potential impact in quality of life parameters such as mood, fatigue, and hope.

NCT ID: NCT03935802 Completed - Clinical trials for Breast Cancer Female

Analysis of Circulating Epithelial Tumor Cells in Peripheral Blood in Patients With Primary Non-metastatic Breast Cancer Under Adjuvant Radiotherapy

Start date: September 1, 2002
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The aim of this study was to investigate the systemic effect of radiotherapy on patients with primary non-metastatic breast cancer using CETC and to analyze possible changes in CETC quantity under adjuvant radiotherapy.

NCT ID: NCT03935282 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Colorectal Neoplasms

Assessing Effectiveness and Implementation of an EHR Tool to Assess Heart Health Among Survivors

AH-HA
Start date: October 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of this hybrid effectiveness-implementation study is to examine the effects of an EHR-based cardiovascular health assessment tool (AH-HA) among breast, prostate, colorectal, endometrial, and Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma cancer survivors (N=600) receiving survivorship care in community oncology practices, using a group-randomized trial design (6 intervention practices and 6 usual care practices). Our central hypothesis is that the AH-HA tool will increase (1) cardiovascular health (CVH) discussions among survivors and oncology providers, (2) referrals and visits to primary care and cardiology (care coordination), and (3) cardiovascular (CV) risk reduction and health promotion activities compared to usual care.
