Filter by:This study is being done to find out the side effects (unwanted effects) that are caused in patients with cancers who are given SGN-2FF. This study will also attempt to find the most suitable dose in the disease or condition being studied and look at other effects of SGN2FF, including its effect on cancer. This study has several different parts. Part A will try to find the highest safe dose. Part B will enroll more patients to be treated at the highest safe dose or a lower dose to better understand how well SGN-2FF is tolerated. Part C will try to find the highest safe dose of SGN-2FF when it is given combined with pembrolizumab. Pembrolizumab is a standard treatment for cancer. Part D will enroll more patients to be treated at the highest safe dose of SGN-2FF combined with pembrolizumab or a lower dose of SGN-2FF to better understand how well SGN-2FF is tolerated when it is given with pembrolizumab.
That study combines High Frequency Percussive Ventilation (HFPV) with radiotherapy treatment in patients with tumors that are moving with respiration like breast or lung cancers. The use of a High Frequency Percussive Ventilation system leads to the cessation of respiratory motions while administering radiotherapy (RT) to tumors which allows a reduction of the amount of irradiated normal tissues and which potentially decrease radiation-induced collateral damages.
The purpose of this study is to microscopically examine breast cancer cells of pre-menopausal and post-menopausal women before and after exposure to one of the two commonly used breast cancer drugs, tamoxifen or fulvestrant.
This randomized phase III trial studies how well aspirin works in preventing the cancer from coming back (recurrence) in patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) negative breast cancer after chemotherapy, surgery, and/or radiation therapy. Aspirin is a drug that reduces pain, fever, inflammation, and blood clotting. It is also being studied in cancer prevention. Giving aspirin may reduce the rate of cancer recurrence in patients with breast cancer.
This pilot clinical trial studies Hatha yoga in reducing physical and emotional problems in breast cancer survivors with stage II-III lymphedema. Yoga practices may benefit breast cancer survivors with lymphedema as they directly support lymph transport (postures, breathing, relaxation) and emotional well-being (relaxation, meditation).
Most of the local recurrences (LR) found after breast-conserving therapy are within or close to the tumor bed. This pattern of recurrence was confirmed by studies of breast conserving surgery without adjuvant irradiation and by the update of the NSABP B-06 trial. In the EORTC boost trial, however, 29% of all LR were found outside the area of the original tumor. Still, a recent review of Breast Conserving Therapy (BCT) trials showed that the site of local recurrences after BCT was mostly in the tumor bed, with less than 10% of LR elsewhere in the breast. This led to the concept of partial breast irradiation. With accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI), a limited volume of breast tissue is irradiated, allowing for a higher dose per fraction compared to whole breast irradiation (WBI), which is favorable considering the low alpha/beta ratio, and thus higher sensitivity to high dose per fraction.
The investigators propose to influence estrogen receptor (ER) signaling by combining endocrine therapy with CDK4/6 inhibition along with trastuzumab in ER+/ human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)+ early stage breast cancer.
Registry participants with advanced malignancy or myelodysplasia will have a sample of their tumor or tissue analysed for genetic alterations using next generation sequencing (NGS) performed in a lab that has been certified to meet a high quality standard. Treatments and outcomes will be reported to the registry to allow further understanding of how genetic differences can lead to better diagnosis and treatments.
Evaluate and compare the return to work rate at 12 months
The purpose of this research study is to look at the efficacy (the effect on tumor) and the safety (the effect on body) of the study drugs when given as a combination in patients with metastatic recurrent epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) negative inflammatory breast cancer. This is a phase II study of 2 drugs used in combination: nivolumab and ipilimumab. The combination of these drugs is already approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat advanced melanoma (a type of skin cancer). Nivolumab and ipilimumab are not approved by the FDA for patients with metastatic recurrent HER2 negative inflammatory breast cancer, hence the treatment is considered experimental or investigational.
