Filter by:The "ECCO"-study evaluates the efficacy of simultaneous controlled exercise during neo/-adjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer patients and its effects on neurocognition. In this study the investigators examine the benefits of the individualized high intensity training program on a cancer related cognitive impairment. Changes in patients' cognition are evaluated by neuropsychological testing. Possible structural changes are detected with MRI volumetry. Biomarkers connected to Cancer Related Cognitive Impairment (CRCI) and chemotherapy related inflammatory processes which impair cognition, respectively, will be assessed.
Women or men with HER2-positive, metastatic breast cancer, who have progressed on previous treatment, will receive tucatinib in combination with pembrolizumab and trastuzumab (PD-L1 positive).
In this study, the purpose of this study is to investigate whether prophylactic medical compression therapy in breast cancer patients receiving docetaxel adjuvant chemotherapy could reduce the incidence and severity of lymphedema in the upper limbs that received axillary lymph node resection (sentinel lymph node biopsy or axillary lymph node dissection).
This is a phase II, randomized, multi-center, parallel design, window of opportunity trial evaluating intratumoral INT230-6 in up to 90 patients with early stage breast cancer. In a 2:1 randomization, patients on the treatment arm will receive intratumoral INT230-6 injections prior to breast surgery.
Albumin-bound Paclitaxel Combination With Capecitabine Versus Capecitabine Monotherapy in Paclitaxel/Docetaxel-resistant Advanced Breast Cancer
The objective of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of telemonitoring in the dysfunctions of the upper limbs in activities of daily living, quality of life and prevention of lymphedema in women undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Secondarily, to analyze the degree of satisfaction in the proposed treatment modality. This is a randomized controlled trial, double blind (evaluator and patient), parallel in three groups (synchronous telemonitoring group, asynchronous telemonitoring group and control group). The protocol will last six weeks, and quality of life, upper limb functionality, and risk of lymphedema will be evaluated. Both intervention groups will be submitted to a kinesiotherapy program three times a week, with synchronous and asynchronous monitoring, while the control group will receive usual post cancer orientations. Kinesiotherapy protocol in synchronous form compared to the usual recommendations in remote form is expected to show superior result in upper limb function and quality of life of women after breast cancer.
At present, there are few studies on the side effects of chemotherapy in breast cancer patients at high altitude area, and there are no studies on the relationship between oxygen inhalation and fatigue after chemotherapy in breast cancer patients at high altitude. The investigators intend to explore whether oxygen inhalation can improve fatigue at high altitude through this prospective randomized study. In our study, a single center, open-label, randomized phase 2 clinical trial will conduct to investigate whether oxygen inhalation during chemotherapy can improve chemotherapy-related fatigue in patients with breast cancer. The effects of oxygen inhalation on side effects of chemotherapy such as Cancer related fatigue (CRF) were observed. The investigators intend to explore whether oxygen therapy can improve fatigue at high altitude through this prospective randomized study. The investigators enrolled breast cancer patients before chemotherapy. The investigators will use the checklist individual strength(CIS) and the brief fatigue inventory (BFI) to evaluate the fatigue status of patients, and extract the blood of patients for evaluate blood pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1 β, IL-6, C-reactive protein (CRP), transforming growth factor (TGF-β), soluble tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor II (sTNF-RII), inducible factor-1(HIF-1), Hypoxia inducible factor-2(HIF-2)in the plasma.
This study is a multicenter, open-label, multi-cohort phase II clinical trials to evaluate the efficacy and safety of TQB3616 capsules combined with Fulvestrant injection in subjects with HR-positive and HER2-negative advanced and/or metastatic breast cancer, including Cohort 1 and Cohort 2. Each cohort will enroll 30-60 cases.
Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive disease with higher proportion of Blacks affected and in younger age groups. There is no targeted therapy unlike other types of breast cancer such as hormone positive and Human Epidermal Growth factor 2 (HER2) positive subtypes. Chemotherapy is therefore the main choice of systemic treatment with rapid development of resistance in most cases. At present, there is no blood test to monitor treatment response and disease relapse. This one-stage phase II study with a single arm design will determine the response rate of standard chemotherapy using Epirubicin (60mg/m2), Cyclophosphamide (600mg/m2) , Paclitaxel (120mg/m2) and Carboplatin (6AUC) in TNBC patients. We will measure the blood level of microRNA molecules and circulating tumor DNA during and after treatment to test if changes can be used to indicate drug failure in these patients. Disease status and tumor response will be assessed using Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) guidelines while toxicity will be assessed using CTCAE v5). The trial will be conducted as per the International Council on Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) Guidelines E6 (R1) and other applicable guidelines
This phase II trial studies the effect of avapritinib in treating malignant solid tumors that have a genetic change (mutation) in CKIT or PDGFRA and have spread to nearby tissue or lymph nodes (locally advanced) or other places in the body (metastatic). Avapritinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Avapritinib may help to control the growth of malignant solid tumors.
