Filter by:Due to discontinuation of the Codman C3000 pump, an alternate device is necessary to continue serving patients in need of hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy. This study aims to test the safety of hepatic artery infusion pump placement, a standard surgical procedure, and intraarterial chemotherapy initiation with the standard medication floxuridine (FUDR), using the Medtronic Synchromed II pump combined with the Codman arterial catheter in patients with unresectable (not removable by surgery) liver metastases from colorectal cancer and unresectable intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. This study will determine if complication and pump loss rates will be similar to previously published rates for the Codman system.
This phase Ib trial studies side effects and best dose of dasatinib in preventing oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy in patients with gastrointestinal cancers who are receiving FOLFOX regimen with or without bevacizumab. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as leucovorin, fluorouracil, and oxaliplatin (FOLFOX regimen), work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. However, the buildup of oxaliplatin in the cranial nerves can result in damage or the nerves. Dasatinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Blocking these enzymes may reduce oxaliplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy.
Open-label, multi-center, non-randomized, multiple dose, safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic, and pharmacodynamics and clinical activity study of PF-06940434 (Integrin alpha-V/beta-8 Antagonist) in patients with SCCHN (Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Head and Neck), renal cell carcinoma (RCC - clear cell and papillary), ovarian, gastric, esophageal, esophageal (adeno and squamous), lung squamous cell, pancreatic and biliary duct, endometrial, melanoma and urothelial tumors. This study contains two parts, single agent dose escalation (Part 1A), dose finding of PF 06940434 in combination with anti-PD-1 (Part 1B) and dose expansion (Part 2). Part 2 Dose Combination Expansion will enroll participants into 3 cohorts at doses determined from Part 1B in order to further evaluate the safety of PF-06940434 in combination with anti-PD-1.
The Quebec Pancreas Cancer Study is a prospective clinic-based study consisting of clinical, family history and epidemiologic data, with accompanying biospecimens, from patients diagnosed with either pancreas cancer, a related cancer or a related pre-cancerous condition, and their families.
This is a multi-centre, open-label, single arm phase 2 study to assess the efficacy of TRIFLURIDINE/TIPIRACIL, in patients with advanced cholangiocarcinoma as measured by median progression-free survival (PFS). This study will enroll a total of 47 patients over a 12-month period, according to a two stage enrollment design. Nine patients will be enrolled during the first stage and the trial will be terminated if 4 or more out of the 9 have disease progression. If the trial goes on to the second stage, a total of 47 patients (38 in second stage) will be required. Patients will be seen prior to enrolment (within 28 days of treatment), every 4 weeks while on treatment, at the end of treatment, and 30 days post-treatment. Patients will remain on long-term follow-up and will be seen every 12 weeks (+/- 14 days) until 1 year post-treatment when they will enter into the survival follow-up period and will be contacted every 12 weeks by phone until progression or toxicity.
This phase II trial studies how well trifluridine/tipiracil and irinotecan work in treating patients with biliary tract cancer that has spread to other places in the body (advanced) and has not responded to treatment (refractory). Trifluridine/tipiracil and irinotecan may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
This study is to collect and validate regulatory-grade real-world data (RWD) in oncology using the novel, Master Observational Trial construct. This data can be then used in real-world evidence (RWE) generation. It will also create reusable infrastructure to allow creation or affiliation with many additional RWD/RWE efforts both prospective and retrospective in nature.
A prospective, multicenter, self-control clinical trial aim to enroll 110 patients suffered from upper abdominal (liver, pancreas, stomach, etc.) cancers . Patients who have taken at least one opioid drug for pain for two weeks and still have a VAS pain scale greater than 6 will receive endovascular denervation (EDN). They will be followed up for 3 months. The VAS scales, quantity of analgesics as represented by morphine equivalent and quality of life scores will be compared before and after EDN. Safety parameters such as arterial deformation, embolism, infection, liver and kidney functions will also be monitored.
The purpose of this study is to assess the interobserver agreement (IOV) for pancreatico-biliary Volumetric Laser Endomicroscopy (VLE) de-identified clips using the new VLE criteria. This is an Interobserver study to validate VLE criteria for indeterminate biliary and pancreatic duct strictures and evaluate impact on clinical management.
The PIONEER Initiative stands for Precision Insights On N-of-1 Ex vivo Effectiveness Research. The PIONEER Initiative is designed to provide access to functional precision medicine to any cancer patient with any tumor at any medical facility. Tumor tissue is saved at time of biopsy or surgery in multiple formats, including fresh and cryopreserved as a living biospecimen. SpeciCare assists with access to clinical records in order to provide information back to the patient and the patient's clinical care team. The biospecimen tumor tissue is stored in a bio-storage facility and can be shipped anywhere the patient and the clinical team require for further testing. Additionally, the cryopreservation of the biospecimen allows for decisions about testing to be made at a later date. It also facilitates participation in clinical trials. The ability to return research information from this repository back to the patient is the primary end point of the study. The secondary end point is the subjective assessment by the patient and his or her physician as to the potential benefit that this additional information provides over standard of care. Overall the goal of PIONEER is to enable best in class functional precision testing of a patient's tumor tissue to help guide optimal therapy (to date this type of analysis includes organoid drug screening approaches in addition to traditional genomic profiling).
