NCT ID: NCT06413316 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Autism Spectrum Disorder

ABC-CT Pre-School Feasibility Study

Start date: August 1, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is a multicenter study that aims to determine whether the EEG and ET experiments studied in the ABC-CT Phase 1 and ABC-CT Confirmation studies can be successfully used with 3-5-year-old children and to determine the viability of these measures as potential biomarkers in 3-5-year-old children with ASD. Blood (DNA) samples will be collected from participants with ASD and biological parents for future genomic analyses, and raw, processed, and analyzed data will be shared to create a community resource accessible for use by all qualified investigators. These objectives are designed to advance the long term objective of developing promising biomarkers via the FDA Biomarker Qualification Program. This feasibility study aims to enroll 25 ASD and 25 TD eligible participants who are 3-5 years old.

NCT ID: NCT06391684 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Autism Spectrum Disorder

Flexibility and the Predictive Brain in Autistic Males and Females

FLEX-PREAU
Start date: June 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The goal of this study is to compare the neural correlates of predictive brain mechanisms during high-level social and non-social flexibility tasks, between autistic and non-autistic males and females. The aim is to better understand if autistic individuals differ from non-autistic individuals in their cognitive flexibility according to the social and predictable nature of the stimuli, at a behavioral and neurofunctional level using the functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI). As autistic females usually present a more subtle profile than autistic males, the investigators will also explore if autistic males and females present neurofunctional differences.

NCT ID: NCT06381856 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Autism Spectrum Disorders

Improving Participation of Autistic Children and Adolescents in the Habilitation Process

IMPAC
Start date: September 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This project aims to explore the impact of a survey-based and a meeting-based needs assessment models on 7 to 17 year old autistic children's participation in the needs assessment process at the initial reception when enrolled at a Child and Youth Habilitation Centre.

NCT ID: NCT06380569 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Autism Spectrum Disorder

A Strength-Based Intervention to Improve Job Interview Skills in Young Adults in a Community Setting

Start date: June 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

We are looking to evaluate how effective a strength-based intervention may be in improving job interview skills in young adults. We are examining the effects of this intervention in young adults who may have difficulty with job interviews, and who may want to improve these skills.

NCT ID: NCT06368687 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Autism Spectrum Disorder

TRANPAS - TReating Anorexia Nervosa Plus Autism Spectrum

TRANPAS
Start date: September 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In a pilot study, we will validate a so-called autism care location in an inpatient ward. The care location will be adapted for patients with anorexia nervosa (AN) and concurrent autism (AN+autism). In order to investigate the effect of a tailored care location for patients with AN + autism, the evaluation will include weight development and changes in nutritional intake, eating disorder and anxiety symptoms. The overall aim is to improve treatment for this specific AN subgroup, that otherwise has a worse prognosis regarding AN recovery.

NCT ID: NCT06362733 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Autism Spectrum Disorder

Modified Pivotal Response Treatment for Insistence on Sameness in Autistic Youth

Start date: June 1, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this open label trial is to examine the preliminary effectiveness of a 12-week behavioral intervention program (1 hour/week) to treat insistence on sameness (e.g., difficulty tolerating changes in routine) in youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Treatment will be delivered via secure telemedicine platform and consist of a combination of parent-training and child-focused intervention.

NCT ID: NCT06362200 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Autism Spectrum Disorder

The Validation and Biological Index Studies on the Improved Social Function of ASD by 40 Hz tACS

Start date: April 15, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

In this proposed study, tACS will be used to intervene in the autism spectrum disorders of children and adolescents, and the efficacy of this intervention method will be evaluated, as well as the internal mechanism of adolescents' autism spectrum disorders will be discussed.

NCT ID: NCT06355141 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Autism Spectrum Disorder

Oral Structural and Functional Problems in Children With Autism

Start date: April 11, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This study aims to examine oral structural and functional problems in children with autism.

NCT ID: NCT06352372 Not yet recruiting - Epilepsy Clinical Trials

Safety and Efficacy of tPBM for Epileptiform Activity in Autism

tPBM
Start date: April 2024
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

For this study, the proposed intervention will be noninvasively delivered near infra-red (NIR) light - transcranial Photobiomodulation (tPBM) - to the brains of autistic children. This will occur, twice a week, for 10 weeks. The NIR light is delivered to specific brain areas by Cognilum, a wearable device developed by Jelikalite. The expected outcome is improved focus, improved eye contact, improved speech, improved behavior, and gains in functional skills. Cognilum may impact the clinical practice of treating autism. At the beginning, at five weeks, and at the end of study, the clinician will complete the CARS-2, SRS, CGI, and a caregiver interview; additionally, questionnaires will be administered to caregivers during one of the 1-hour weekly treatment sessions.

Understanding the Mechanisms of Autism : an MRI and Social Cognition Study

ECLAT
Start date: April 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The main goal of this study is to investigate anatomo-functional brain abnormalities associated with autism spectrum disorders using a multimodal brain imaging approach, as well as its links to social cognition difficulties measured using eye-tracking
