To prove the clinical value of benralizumab in a Real-World setting, the study will document the effect of benralizumab within a time frame of 112 weeks after initiation of treatment.

This study will evaluate the efficacy of as-needed Budesonide/formoterol Turbuhaler 160/4.5 µg/d in the period of step down in well controlled asthmatic patient comparing with standard maintenance therapy in step-2 management in asthma guildeline which is low dose inhaled corticosteroid.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of the serious diseases with a high prevalence and mortality, which adversely affects the quality of life, and is expected to rank third in the global burden of disease in 2020. Although the primary pathophysiology of the disease is pulmonary, it is emphasized that extrapulmonary involvement and comorbid conditions adversely affect the severity and prognosis of the disease. In the treatment guidelines for COPD, extrapulmonary systems and symptoms should also be evaluated. In this context, the number of studies on the effects of postural stability, balance and fall has increased recently, especially in COPD patients. Although the efficacy of pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) in COPD is well defined, it provides minimal gains in postural control and balance. Alternative therapies are needed to improve postural stability, balance and fall in COPD patients. Body Awareness Therapy (BAQ) is an alternative method developed by French exercise instructor and psychotherapist Jacques Dropsy in the early 1970s following the emergence of the concept of body awareness, adapted to rehabilitation programs by Swedish and Norwegian physiotherapists. Traditional physiotherapy methods are the basis of BAQ. In the treatment, sensory stimulation and movement quality, rhythm, coordination, breathing, relaxation, balance, coordination and proprioceptive exercises give more space. In the literature, BAQ decreases pain, fatigue, eating and sleep problems in chronic musculoskeletal or rheumatic pain, coronary artery disease and neurological patient groups. It is seen to increase the quality of exercise, coordination, balance, postural control, quality of life and the integration between mind-body. Movement awareness and mind-body-behavior interaction developed in BAQ can help regulate emotional, mental, social and behavioral factors that affect health. In addition to improving coping skills and cognitive behaviors among COPD patients, it can contribute to positive gains in better movement, respiratory control and balance. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of BAQ, which is integrated into 8-week pulmonary rehabilitation sessions, on postural stability, balance and fall conditions.
To assess the drug exposure profile in systemic circulation of Primatene Mist by inhalation, versus Epinephrine by intramuscular injection, and ProAir HFA by inhalation in healthy adults.
The purpose of this study is to compare treatment with QVM149, an inhaler that contains three types of asthma medications compared to an inhaler that contains two types of asthma medications. Both inhalers contain an inhaled corticosteroid, which reduces inflammation in the lungs, and a medication that helps to open up the airways. The investigational inhaler, QVM149, contains a third medication that also works to open up the airways. The investigators will measure the difference in these two treatments with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using a special technique using xenon gas to show how gas spreads in the lungs. In healthy lungs, the gas fills the lungs evenly, but in unhealthy lungs, the gas may fill the lungs unevenly and they will appear patchy. The patchy areas are called ventilation defects. A CT of the chest will be done to assess the structure of the lungs. The investigators will also use lung function testing and questionnaires to evaluate the differences between these therapies.
The primary objective of the study is to demonstrate that dupilumab treatment improves exercise capacity in patients with moderate-to-severe asthma. The secondary objectives of the study are: - To demonstrate that dupilumab treatment increases physical activity of daily living in patients with moderate-to-severe asthma - To demonstrate that dupilumab treatment improves pre- and post-exercise lung function in patients with moderate-to-severe asthma
Asthma management is based on inhaled therapy, mainly on inhaled glucocorticosteroids (ICS). The efficacy of inhaled therapy depends on type of inhaler and proper inhalation skills. Additionally, in cough variant- or cough predominant asthma aerosol or dry powder of inhaler may tease upper airway and induce cough. The aim of the study is to analyze if type of inhaler (DPI vs MDI) affects the efficacy of the management in cough variant or cough predominant asthma. Twenty two patients with cough variant- or cough predominant asthma will be enrolled into the study. Initially cough severity (in VAS scale), cough related quality of life (in Leicester Cough Questionnaire, LCQ) and number of cough episodes during 2 hours will be estimated. Additionally Asthma Control Test (ACT), Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (AQLQ) and spirometry will be performed. Then, budesonide or budesonide and formoterol will be used in Aerolizer / Breezhaler or pMDI in turn (each for 14 days) in the same doses. Inhalation technique will be checked and if needed corrected. After 14 days and then after 28 days, cough severity, LCQ, number of cough episodes, ACT, AQLQ, spirometry and inhalation technique will be assessed. The results will be based on differences in cough severity, cough related quality of life, asthma related quality of life, control of asthma and number of cough episodes between therapy with DPI and MDI.
Asthma and COPD are common chronic diseases of respiratory system. The correct use of inhalers is crucial in terms of efficacy of the treatment, however both asthma and COPD patients quite frequently misuse the inhalers. The objective of this study is to determine the factors influencing the number of inhalation errors committed by asthma and COPD patients when using the inhalers. In included patients the inhalation technique will be evaluated (by both list of inhalation errors and 4 point scale of proper inhaling) by two observers and the below information will be collected: - general demographic information and education level - information concerning time of diagnosis, the previous course of disease, smoking history, number of previous inhalation techniques training, the sources of information about the inhalation technique and adherence to therapy - Asthma Control Test or COPD Assessment Test (respectively for asthma and COPD) - assessment of quality of life (St. George's Questionnaire for COPD and Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire for asthma) - cognitive functions assessment using Mini-Mental State Examination - the simplified assessment of vision impairments - the results of spirometry
Adults with known respiratory allergy/asthma with known skin test sensitization will undergo repeat skin prick testing at 4 areas of both arms (bilateral forearms, bilateral upper arms). Each site will be challenged with up to three known allergens, saline and histamine controls. Mean wheal diameter after 20 minutes challenge will be determined. This is followed by placement of minocycline cream (0%, 1%, 2%, 3%), placed in randomized fashion at each of 1 of 4 skin test sites. Measurement of subsequent wheal diameter will be done at 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 24 hours.
