Filter by:To identify biological and phenotypic prognostic markers of recovery vs. persistence of pain and functional disability in adolescents with chronic musculoskeletal pain.
This study is intended to evaluate the effect of the dietary supplement combination of NEM® brand eggshell membrane + KD PUR® brand fish oil versus placebo in reducing exercise-induced joint pain, stiffness & cartilage turnover in healthy men & women. Half of the study participants will receive NEM + fish oil, once daily, orally while the other half of the study participants will receive placebo, once daily, orally while performing an exercise regimen every other day for two weeks.
This study aims to look at the long term efficacy of using repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) in relieving Gulf War Illness related headaches and pain.
Evaluating impact of use of Even-Up shoe wear device for patients treated in CAM boot walker for an ankle fracture. Randomized controlled trial, randomizing patients into control group with boot treatment only versus boot treatment with Even-Up device on contralateral extremity.
In this phase II, multicenter, self-controlled clinical trial, we will evaluate the safety and efficacy of OPERA® for treating anti-aromate inhibitors (AIs) induced arthralgia. The diagnosis of arthralgia will be based on the NCI-CTCAE v4.0 grade of ≥ 1 , A disorder characterized by a sensation of marked discomfort in a joint, mild pain (grade 1). Arthralgia will be assessed at the enrollment and every two months until the sixth month.
Chronic neck pain is a common disorder for spine specialists. Radiofrequency ablation of medial branches has been proven effective in selected patients for relieving pain. A newer radiofrequency ablation cannula has been developed (multi-tined), allowing perpendicular access. It is proposed as an alternative to the more technically challenging traditional approach. This study aims to compared the technical and clinical aspects of both techniques.
The study will assess running biomechanics and joint inflammation of physically active males between 40 and 60 years of age, mainly runners, suffering from knee joint inflammation and pain after training. Participants were split into two groups, intervention and placebo, to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Exten(d) supplementation during 4 weeks.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of sukshma vyayama joint loosening yoga in improving aromatase inhibitor-induced arthralgia in post-menopausal breast cancer survivors and secondarily, to evaluate the feasibility of delivering the intervention on Facebook.
The Research question: Among two standard image guidance techniques [2-dimension (2-D) conventional Fluoroscopy Versus 3-dimension (3-D) Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)], which is the better guidance for Sacroiliac Joint Injection therapy and should be used first? The specific aims: To detect the difference of the first-time success rate, the cross-over rate, the procedural time, the radiation exposure, the incidence of adverse events/complications, and overall satisfaction score between the 2-D Fluoroscopy versus 3-D CBCT guidance for SIJ injection.
This phase I/II trial studies how well dietary and exercise interventions work in reducing side effects in patients with stage I-IIIa breast cancer taking aromatase inhibitors. Anti-inflammatory Mediterranean dietary and bone strengthening exercise interventions may alleviate medication side effects such as joint and bone pain and protectively influence bone mineral density, improve heart functioning, and reduce risk of breast cancer recurrence in breast cancer patients taking aromatase inhibitors.
