NCT ID: NCT00574171 Completed - Clinical trials for Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

Phase II Trial of Lapatinib & Capecitabine for Patients With Refractory Advanced Colorectal Adenocarcinoma

Start date: September 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to find out how effective this combination is as a second line treatment for colorectal cancer that has spread from one part of the body to another (metastasized) or has not metastasized but is considered inoperable (unable to be removed by surgery). The side effects and survival experienced by subjects receiving these drugs will also be evaluated. This is a phase II research study.

NCT ID: NCT00570700 Completed - Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials

Trial of Dasatinib (Sprycel®) in Subjects With Hormone-refractory Prostate Cancer

Start date: July 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this research study is to find out if a new anti-cancer drug, dasatinib (Sprycel®), previously approved for treatment of some forms of leukemia, will be safe and helpful in treating patients with hormone-refractory prostate cancer. This is a research study because the study drug, dasatinib (Sprycel®), has not been evaluated for safety or effectiveness in patients with hormone-refractory prostate cancer. The drug is approved by the Food and Drug Administration for treatment of some forms of leukemia; thus, dasatinib (Sprycel®) is not an investigational drug. It has been given safely to hundreds of patients already. However its safety and usefulness in this study population (prostate cancer) is unknown. Subjects who agree to participate will take 150mg (3 pills) of dasatinib (Sprycel®) daily by mouth for as long as the drug benefits them. During this time, the subject will periodically return to the office for blood/urine tests, X-rays, imaging scans, and/or to complete questionnaires.

NCT ID: NCT00560963 Completed - Clinical trials for Advanced or Metastatic Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma

Treatment of Patients Suffering From a Progressive Pancreas Carcinoma With Everolimus (RAD001) and Gemcitabine

Start date: October 2007
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A dose finding study in locally advanced and/or metastatic pancreatic cancer patients

NCT ID: NCT00559377 Completed - Clinical trials for Cervical Adenocarcinoma

FDG and FMISO PET Hypoxia Evaluation in Cervical Cancer

Start date: November 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial is studying how well PET scans using fluoromisonidazole F 18 and fludeoxyglucose F 18 work in finding oxygen in tumor cells of patients undergoing treatment for newly diagnosed stage 1B, stage II, stage II, or stage IV cervical cancer. Diagnostic procedures using positron emission tomography (PET scan), fluoromisonidazole F 18, and fludeoxyglucose F 18 to find oxygen in tumor cells may help doctors predict how patients will respond to treatment.

NCT ID: NCT00558207 Completed - Clinical trials for Pancreatic Neoplasms

A Randomized Phase 2 Study of ARQ 197 Versus Gemcitabine in Treatment-Naïve Patients With Unresectable Locally Advanced or Metastatic Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma

Start date: November 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This is a multi-center, open-label randomized phase 2 study designed to assess the progression free survival (PFS) of patients with untreatment and unresectable pancreatic cancer following treatment with either ARQ 197 or gemcitabine. The study will also evaluate other efficacy and safety endpoints including overall response rate, overall survival and adverse events in the two treatment arms.

NCT ID: NCT00551421 Completed - Clinical trials for Recurrent Rectal Cancer

Pertuzumab and Cetuximab in Treating Patients With Previously Treated Locally Advanced or Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

Start date: October 2007
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Monoclonal antibodies, such as pertuzumab and cetuximab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Giving pertuzumab together with cetuximab may kill more tumor cells. This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of pertuzumab when given together with cetuximab and to see how well they work in treating patients with previously treated locally advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer

NCT ID: NCT00551070 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma

Selumetinib Sulfate in Treating Woman With Recurrent Low-Grade Ovarian Cancer or Peritoneum Cancer

Start date: December 17, 2007
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial studies the side effects and how well selumetinib sulfate works in treating patients with low-grade ovarian cancer that has come back (recurrent). Selumetinib sulfate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

NCT ID: NCT00550836 Completed - Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trials

Erlotinib and Gemcitabine With or Without Panitumumab in Treating Patients With Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer

Start date: March 2009
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Erlotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Monoclonal antibodies, such as panitumumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Panitumumab may also stop the growth of pancreatic cancer by blocking blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying how well giving panitumumab together with gemcitabine and erlotinib works compared to giving gemcitabine and erlotinib alone in treating patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer.

NCT ID: NCT00548548 Completed - Adenocarcinoma Clinical Trials

A Study of Bevacizumab in Combination With Capecitabine and Cisplatin as First-line Therapy in Patients With Advanced Gastric Cancer

AVAGAST
Start date: September 2007
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This study will compare treatment with bevacizumab in combination with capecitabine and cisplatin versus placebo in combination with capecitabine and cisplatin, as first-line therapy in patients with locally advanced or metastatic gastric cancer who had not received prior chemotherapy for advanced or metastatic disease.

NCT ID: NCT00547742 Completed - Clinical trials for Carcinomas (Including Squamous Cell and Adenocarcinoma)

Correlation of PET-CT Studies With Serum Protein Analysis

Start date: July 2005
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

To correlate serum proteomics patterns with PET/CT findings to improve cancer diagnosis, staging, prognosis, and therapy monitoring.
