View clinical trials related to Acute Coronary Syndrome.
Filter by:Participants will be recruited during their hospitalization for either heart attack or unstable angina and will be randomly assigned to either a text message program (Txt2Prevent) or usual care. They will be texted for the first 60-days after discharge. Texts will include topics regarding self-management and discharge protocols such as reminders to make an appointment with their general practitioner or to refill medication prescriptions. After 60 days, the two groups will be compared for hospital readmission rates, quality of life, medication adherence, and self-management.
This is a randomized controlled, multi-center, non-blinded non-inferiority study examining the utility of telemetry monitoring in patients admitted who are low risk for acute coronary syndrome. Each of the six sites will prospectively enroll 250 patients in each arm of the study randomized to either a med-surg bed (no telemetry) or a telemetry bed during their admission. Research study coordinators will enroll patients and then follow them throughout their hospital course and record primary and secondary end point events.
The study objective is to assess the safety and efficacy of the Permanent Polymer Zotarolimus-Eluting Stent Resolute Integrity™ to the Polymer Free Amphilimus-Eluting Stent Cre8™ compared in an all-comer patient population. 1 month of dual antiplatelet duration will be applied in stable angina pectoris patients. Myocardial infarction patient population will be treated with 12 months of dual antiplatelet therapy.
DebriS Interventional REmoval in ACS (DESIRE-ACS) Study to assess the safety and performance of the ECA Bell balloon in subjects undergoing coronary percutaneous interventions.
Several studies and registries suggested that the concomitant presence of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is significantly associated with poor prognosis. It has been suggested that diagnosis of COPD is frequently missing. Thus, it is plausible that a significant percentage of patients with ACS may have unrecognized COPD. This missing diagnosis may contribute significantly to poor prognosis. The investigators suppose that the concomitant use of peak expiratory flow (PEF) measurement and of Respiratory Health Screening Questionnaire (RHSQ, adapted version) could be useful as screening test for COPD in patient smokers or former smokers admitted to hospital with a diagnosis of ACS. In all screened patients COPD diagnosis will be confirmed (or not) two months after hospital discharge with spirometry. In the same setting of patients, the investigators will characterize the underlying pathological mechanisms, evaluating several inflammation, platelet and endothelial markers.
The purpose of this study is to compare Low-Dose, Standard-Dose Ticagrelor and Clopidogrel for Inhibition of Platelet Reactivity in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndromes
Jakarta acute coronary syndrome enrolled patients with acute coronary syndrome admitted to the emergency department of all health centers in Jakarta and the surrounding area.
Objective: To investigate the relationship between Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection and the prognosis of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in a Chinese population and to explore the significance of Hp eradication therapy in preventing major adverse cardiac events (MACE) and upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) in patients on dual antiplatelet treatment. Methods: To analyze 472 ACS patients with drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2010 in the department of cardiology at Beijing Mentougou District Hospital. Patients were divided into three groups: Group 1, the Hp-negative patients (Hp-); Group 2, the Hp-positive patients with eradication therapy (Hp+ Therapy); and Group 3, the Hp-positive patients without eradication therapy (Hp+ No Therapy). All patients took 13C urea breath test, high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP),homocysteine (HCY) and other biochemical indicators. The investigators explored the correlations of Hp eradication therapy with MACE (including recurrent myocardial infarction, revascularization and death) and UGIB after 3 to 5 years of follow-up using survival analysis.
A randomized controlled, open label, multicenter trial with 1000 patients aged 70 years and older, presenting with Non-ST-elevation acute coronary syndrome. Patients will be randomized to either clopidogrel or the novel P2Y12 inhibitor (ticagrelor or prasugrel). Patients will be followed for one year for outcomes such as bleeding episode requiring medical intervention and net clinical benefit (all cause mortality, non-fatal myocardial infarction, non-fatal stroke, PLATO major and minor bleeding).
To develop and implement quality improvement programs for the treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in China based on the successful experience of the AHA-Get with the Guidelines program. This program will use data collection, analysis, feedback, and process improvement to extend the use of evidence-based guidelines throughout the healthcare system and improve patient care of acute coronary syndrome.
