Suprachoroidal drug delivery is a recent route for managing various ocular conditions. Safety and long term results are still under investigations.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of corticosteroidcombining noncorticosteroid systemic immunomodulatory therapy (NCSIT) for the treatment of Vogt Koyanagi Harada disease (VKH).
To identify biomarkers of common eye diseases based on single-cell sequencing technologies using PBMC samples. These diseases include uveitis, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and polypoid choroidal vasculopathy. Our study may provide new insight into the underlying mechanisms, and reveal novel predictors and intervention targets for the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of these diseases.
The investigators will collect blood samples of different courses of VKH patients for investigating immune profile, observe major immune cells number ,functional and membrane molecular changes in the course of treatment, to investigate pathogenesis of VKH. Meanwhile, the investigators will collect clinical data of VKH patients to observe choroid and retina change in different courses.
This prospective study will include patients with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease from disease onset, treated with early systemic high-dose corticosteroid and immunosuppressive therapy. Clinical and subclinical signs of disease activity added with electroretinogram exams, through predefined intervals, will be evaluated through a minimum 12-month follow-up.
